Bloom Medicinals is a female-owned, family-run medical marijuana company with dispensaries in Arkansas, and across the U.S. We are currently seeking a Health Education & Patient Support Specialist for our Texarkana location. The successful candidate will elevate our mission of providing patients with a better quality of life through the highest clinical standards and informed compassionate care.
Job Description
You are a healthcare professional who is passionate about patient advocacy and education for medical cannabis patients. You are comfortable working with diverse populations and have what it takes to engage stakeholders at all levels to provide the best possible patient experience. You are self-motivated and committed to helping patients achieve a better quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Establish dispensary as a center of excellence by delivering patient-centered care, education, consultations, support programs, and patient experience.
- Attract patients to our dispensary and serve as brand ambassador for Bloom Medicinals.
- Consult with patients and caregivers over the phone and in-person.
- Facilitate events, support groups, trainings, seminars, and other related activities in a seamless and timely manner.
- Establish mindful and effective communication with key stakeholders across the industry.
- Assist patients with their plan of care, product knowledge, card registration, registration renewal, and general inquiries as needed providing a warm hand-off from the time of leaving their physician’s office to becoming a patient.
- Contribute to the creation of patient education, presentations, and materials.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships and opportunities with local organizations.
- Boost programs and initiatives to increase company visibility within your targeted region.
- Facilitate internal continuing education and be an internal resource as a content expert and trainer of proprietary communication tools.
- Prepare and deliver timely and accurate reports and metrics to managers for strategic analysis.
- Maintain and organize a calendar of activities and events.
- Advocate for Bloom Medicinals’ mission, values, and culture of compassion.
- Gain and maintain a current and in-depth understanding of the Arkansas Dept of Health MMJ program, and company policies and regulations.
- Keep a finger on the pulse of the current market and report insights to help influence overall market strategy.

- Candidate must be a self-starter and able to work a collaborative environment and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Some weekends required.

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred
- Clinical or healthcare administration professional strongly preferred
- Healthcare marketing and/or education experience highly desirable
- Effective relationship builder with strong communication and listening skills
- Existing community networks a big plus
- Adaptable, resilient, dedicated, with a long-term vision in an ever-changing start-up environment
- Entrepreneurial team player able to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Demonstrated ability to build initiatives from scratch
- Excellent persuasive verbal and written communication skills

Position: Dispensary Employee
-Entry level position
Summary of Position
Dispensary Employees are the face of the Company and usually present a first impression for patients, caregivers and regulatory officials. Under the direction of a Lead Employee, Assistant Manager or Dispensary Manager, Employees assist patients and caregivers, and provide administrative and other services that support dispensary operations.

- Schedule Consultations
- Data Entry
- Record Keeping
- Check-In Patients/Verify Registration Status
- Front of House & Back of House Cleaning
- Handle Incoming Mail
- Barcode new products
- Ensure all AV equipment is displaying proper content
- Update all new patient forms in POS at the end of each night
Qualifications
- Qualified applicants must be over the age of 21.
- College degrees preferred.
- Must be a United States Citizen, or authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check.
- Must live within 30 minutes of the Dispensary.
Experience
- Experience in the health care or retail industry, and a genuine passion for helping others.
Skills
- Proper license and/or eligibility.
- Experiences in retail sales preferred.
- Knowledge of marijuana strains, (indicas, sativas, hybrids), edibles, extracts, and current products on the market.
- Dispensary-related experience a plus.
- Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking.
- Must be able to provide compassionate patient service.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to stand, walk, and use both hands and fingers to reach and grasp. This job operates in a professional dispensary/ pharmacy environment. The Dispensary Employee role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, inventory and point-of-sale systems.
