Position Overview
We’re seeking a dynamic individual to fill our Assistant General Manager position who can provide exceptional leadership with the goal to position the company at the very forefront of the cannabis industry. Essential Job Functions

- Effectively manage the supply chain including raw materials, packaging, finished goods, hardware and software.

Job Description
The responsibilities of an Assistant General Manager are working with patients, ensuring that the team is adhering to policies and procedures, supervising team members, overseeing dispensary operations, and ensuring a wonderful patient experience.

Summary
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the GM in leading all departments within their assigned dispensary to ensure delivery of an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a positive team culture. This role is a crucial liaison between in-store staff and upper management. This position also assists in overseeing customer service, cash and inventory management, medical and security teams, and team member training and development.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
People Management Responsibilities
- Leads by example in creating a positive atmosphere, encouraging a customer first philosophy, and promoting a global mindset
- Ensures the consistent delivery of an exceptional customer experience via staff training and development and the enforcement of company policies, practices, and procedures
- Provides on-going coaching and regular individualized feedback to all Team Members
- Maintains records on staff performance (productivity, sales, attendance, etc.) and ensures plans for performance improvement are instituted in a timely manner where required
- Supports the GM in interviewing, hiring, on-boarding, training, and managing dispensary staff
- Helps train and develop staff in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures

Sales and Operations Management Responsibilities
- Ensures all staff are trained on dispensary SOPs and state compliance protocols
- Ensures relevant legislative and procedural changes are communicated and trained to dispensary staff
- Maintains knowledge on all aspects of the medical cannabis industry to ensure customers are benefitting from current and effective cannabis practices
- Supports the GM is achieving individual and dispensary KPI’s including but not limited to sales, customer service, inventory levels, payroll, and overall profit metrics
- Provides feedback to GM, marketing, and Inventory Coordinator regarding local product markets and inventory trends
- Makes suggestions to GM on improvements to business processes and practices
Inventory Management Responsibilities
- Supports accurate and efficient inventory tracking based on system metrics and results
- Ensures SOP compliance personally and amongst staff to promote reporting consistency, mitigate loss, and achieve state compliance
- Communicates need for adequate stock levels, proper product assortment, and consistent replenishment planning
- Makes suggestions to GM and Inventory Coordinator for products, specials, and campaigns.
Cash Management Responsibilities
- Ensures cash in store is regularly counted, cross-checked, and balanced
- Ensures cash tracking procedures are followed to mitigate potential loss
- Reports variances to GM and assists in the prompt investigating and resolution of cash related issues
- Holds the dispensary team accountable for consistent and accurate cash handling and ensures that the team is following processes and procedures designated by the Financial Controller

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in high volume, fast-paced customer-facing team management
- Two (2) years of experience working with cannabis or highly regulated retail preferred

The AGM provides support to the GM and Dispensary Team Leads, as well as performing and cross training all roles of Customer Service Representatives (“CSR”), which includes Checkout Associate, Floor Sales Associate, Guest Relations, and Order Fulfillment. The AGM support will include scheduling, training, policy and procedure updates, product information and updated all pertinent groups with industry news. The AGM is responsible for maintaining the dispensary sales floor, inventory management, assisting with ordering and receiving products, arranging deliveries, and maintaining facility compliance and cleanliness. The AGM must maintain a professional appearance, an organized work environment, and facility appearance. The AGM operates with direct supervision from the GM.
Assistant General Manager Core Tasks and Responsibilities – Retail Support and Management:
· Responsible for assisting the GM with managing dispensary staff, timekeeping, schedules, inventory, and customer relations.
· Serve as a role model and resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in CCC regulations.
· Responds to all staff questions, concerns or suggestions and acts when necessary to resolve conflicts.
· Responsible for delegating tasks to staff to maintain a compliant and clean facility.
· Coordinates with the General Manager to ensure accurate information is communicated to dispensary staff.
- Customer Service:
· Provide superior customer service for vendors and customers.
· Respond to all customer complaints, requests, concerns, suggestions, and acts when necessary to resolve conflicts.
· Oversee orders and deliveries to ensure accurate order information and timeliness of deliveries.
- Reports and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities including customer records, sales, deliveries and returns in accordance with the State of Massachusetts and the standards set by Lazy River Products.
- Maintain inventory control system and perform daily counts of all cannabis and cannabis-based products in the facility.
- Provide regular inventory and sales reports to the General Manager.
- Safety and Security:
· Maintain a continuous state of alertness to ensure the highest standards of safety for fellow employees, products, and the facility.
- Inventory Management:
- Implement inventory management policies and procedures.
- Perform inventory control procedures.
- Maintain physical and digital records.
- Platform Management
· Proficient in all platforms such as Leaf Logix (POS and backend), Metrc, Dutchie, Weedmaps and Leafly.

Assistant General Manager Qualifications:
Assistant General Manager Education -
· High school diploma or GED required.
· College Degree preferred but not required.
· Proficiency with Windows 10 and basic computer navigation.
Assistant General Manager Experience -
· At least 2 years of proven retail management experience is required.
· At least 5 years of proven customer relationship management (CRM software or equivalent retail supervisory experience) is required.
· Previous cannabis industry experience is required.
· Experience with Leaf Logix, or other seed-to-sale POS required.
Assistant General Manager Knowledge -
· Knowledge in the use of Office 365 applications such as Word and Excel.
· Knowledge and understanding of state and local cannabis laws and how they apply to the operations of Lazy River Products.

Cannabis Cultivation Facility – Senior Plant Manager/General Manager
This job is to lead a team built of a Director of Marketing and Branding, Lead Grower, and Horticulture Assistants. This position would incorporate facility growth and strategy to grow the company while building a well-known brand.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide daily direction to the cultivation team based on the harvest schedule.
- Engage with all team members to find inefficiencies and execute improvements in productivity.
- Strategize with the owner and leadership team for direction of company.
- Assess and improve employee morale.
- Project sales and use to create monthly and yearly budget reports.
- Report to owners on continual basis to keep updated on company success and direction.

- Maintain strict inventory accuracy - Track all incoming product and input any data necessary for inventory control records into the statewide track and trace system using precision and attention to detail - Identify, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies upon discovery
- Control all intake, tracking, storage and distribution of staff samples in accordance with state compliance measures and company policies
- Update all inventory logs, product menus, promotional materials and patient materials as new product offerings become available
- Accurately weigh, package, label and stock products for the dispensary floor
- Maintain compliant waste disposal and accurately log all wasted materials into METRC
- Manage climate control, quality inspections, sanitation and security procedures to prevent loss, diversion, waste and/or contamination
- Collaborate with General Manager and Director of Operations to facilitate all necessary state compliance measures, including but not limited to: facility site inspections, document requests, complaints, violations, draft rule revisions, METRC holds, product recalls, etc.

The Role
An Assistant General Manager is the lead Patient Care Specialist; talented at both motivating people and moving product! Position Summary/Objective
The Assistant Manager of Dispensary is responsible for assisting in managing a team of dispensary employees for the Company’s cannabis dispensary retail store. Position Summary/Objective
The Assistant Manager of Dispensary is responsible for assisting in managing a team of dispensary employees for the Company’s cannabis dispensary retail store. This position will involve supporting the General Manager with all aspects of dispensary operations, including coaching and developing the retail store team. The Assistant Manager will serve as a General-Manager-in-Training, with the ability to complete all dispensary functions, as directed and authorized by the General Manager. The Assistant Manager will operate the store in absence of the General Manager.
We are seeking a passionate, driven, detailed-oriented and collaborative Assistant Manager of Dispensary to assist with leadership, direction, and support of the daily operations of the dispensary, including handling the needs of all patients and developing a team of Product Associates who are enthusiastic about delivering a best-in-class, innovative cannabis retail experience that is compliant with state and local rules and regulations. Responsibilities
- Understand and assist the General Manager with weekly and monthly sales information

The General Manager's duties are to serve as a representative of the ownership of the shop and to oversee all ongoing operations of the business. ATTN: CUSTOMER-DRIVEN RETAIL & HOSPITALITY PROFESSIONALS: A cannabis brand is looking for a results-driven and professional team-player to lead an award winning dispensary as its General Manager. The ideal candidate will have a hospitality, specialty retail, wine and spirits, or food service background. The company will provide training on compliance regulations and cannabis-specific retail as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be the primary point of contact for an award-winning dispensary.
- You will maintain a culture of high-quality customer service, patient communication, and customer service issue/complaint resolution.
- You will be the driving force in achieving short-term and long-term business, marketing, and sales goals/objectives.
- You will award, reprimand, and maintain accountability for your team of passionate, knowledgeable representatives.
- You will be responsible for MED reporting, paperwork, and METRC recording.
- You will oversee and assure daily compliance with medical and/or recreational cannabis policies, including but not limited to the following: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
- You will place orders for procurement of saleable medical and/or recreational products and supplies.
- You will assist State and Local Government Auditors and Law Enforcement with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
- You will comply with company cash handling policies and perform verification for daily cash management responsibilities as outlined in the company’s policy; ensure cash is accurately counted and recorded.
- You will oversee the training of all employees on policies, process, procedures, and roles.
- You will help the team educate patients on medical marijuana medicinal properties and selection of proper genetics according to the patient’s desired effect or per specific medical ailment.
- You will help your team educate customers on proper dosage and selection of edibles pursuant to the customer’s desired effect.
- You will communicate daily with executives and retail staff as needed via email and manager’s log.
- You will oversee your team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- You will schedule team members equitably to ensure that the store is staffed appropriately at all times.
- You will be responsible for facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary including proper up-keep of phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, stock, and supplies.
- Attendance of posted, scheduled hours is required at the store locations; however, additional availability outside of that schedule is also required (e.g. meetings, deliveries).
- Physical duties may be required including but not limited to the following: lifting and moving boxes, inventory, and/or equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Must already possess or be able to qualify to receive a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) support badge and 21 years of age or older.
- Colorado residency, no felony convictions, and must successfully pass an extensive background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Desire to acquire working knowledge of medical and/or retail marijuana.
- Desire to gain knowledge of local and state laws and regulations pertaining to medical and/or retail marijuana.
- Reporting and Information Management: must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with process management, team problem solving, inventory control, and desire to quickly learn medical and/or retail marijuana policy and law.
- Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills; anticipatory thinking and ability to forecast; calculating, multi-tasking, attention to details, conflict resolution, teamwork, and professionalism, accountability, and proactive active behavior.
- Success and advancement in this position will require positive and cooperative attitude, professional behavior, and self-motivation.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of customer-focused specialty retail, hospitality, food service, or wine and spirits experience required.
Physical Requirements
- Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of center.
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Position Summary: The General Manager position is responsible to oversee holistic cultivation center operations in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining processes and procedures across the facility to scale production and increase quality, productivity, consistency and profitability. Reporting directly to this position are the managers presiding over the cultivation, post harvest and trim departments; facilities, inventory control, loss prevention, product quality and compliance. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop the strategic and operational plan for the facility
- Coordination with departmental teams and facilitates the operational flow across departments
- Ensure complete compliance with the State of California statutes and regulations as required for all licenses
- Build strong relationships with local and state level officials
- Establish appropriate standards and risk controls associated with the physical property
- Design SOPs, methods, policies and procedures to advance the departments to ensure it meets the needs of the company
- Hire, train, and retain additional key management members to support and assist with labor planning, scheduling, along with the coordination of critical business functions, such as labor management, facility management, safety programs, and licensing compliance
- Provides appropriate coaching, counseling, direction and resolution with managers, supervisors and Team Leaders
- Organize periodic trainings pertaining to security for all loss prevention, operational and administrative personnel
- Directs the managers, supervisors and lead team members with daily operation of the Facilities to include the development, analyses and implementation of staffing, training, harvesting, scheduling and trimming
- Work closely with the COO and Chief Finance Officer in development and implementation of site-specific budgets
- Manage profit and loss of the facility
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Operations required. Master’s degree preferred
- Prior experience in operations management (5 years minimum)
- Experience in continuous improvement such as Lean and Six Sigma
- Strong business and financial acumen with prior profit and loss (P&L) responsibility
- Strong problem solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Extensive knowledge of occupational safety and health standards in the workplace
