Job Description
Our company is seeking enthusiastic, personable dispensary technicians who can use their extensive cannabis product knowledge to guide patients to the appropriate medical product and provide impeccable customer service while complying with all regulations. Dispensary technicians must provide patients with prompt service and quality products while maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will be responsible for assisting the management team with the activities and operations of the store while abiding by all policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. You will be required to consistently grow your product/industry knowledge to better serve our patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer service experience
- Daily compliance with dispensary policies, including but not limited to the following: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, transaction procedures, dress code, and work schedules
- Greet and check patients in at the door while verifying their ability to legally purchase medical marijuana within the state
- Assist patients in product selection according to their qualifying condition while giving them your undivided attention
- Educate patients on the medicinal properties, different forms, and methods of ingestion of cannabis
- Be knowledgeable on all product offerings
- Assist in opening/closing of store and any other tasks assigned (stocking, inventory audits, cleaning, updating menus, side work, etc)
- Master the point-of-sale and inventory tracking software
- Ensure proper hygiene and be on-time for each and every shift
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment
- Comply with all HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure
- Remain calm and level-headed during a fast-paced, highly regulated retail environment
- Notify manager of any product concerns/complaints
- Notify manager of any operational issues (security, computers, plumbing, HVAC, etc)
- This is not intended to be an all-inclusive job description, other duties may be assigned to you by a manager. This is a new company, flexibility is required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age or older
- Must be a resident of Arkansas
- Must possess valid Arkansas driver’s license or state ID
- Must be able to pass any and all background checks
- Must be able to obtain and retain a state-issued Registry Identification Card (necessary for all state mmj employees)
- Basic understanding of laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry
- Willingness to learn and constantly grow your product knowledge to effectively serve our patients
- Knowledge of cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and other current products on the market is desired, but not required
- Proven exceptional customer service skills
- Proven organizational skills
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register; one-year cash handling experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 25lbs
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all state or company rules and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, heavily regulated environment
Minimum Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Prepare and analyze samples from various cultivators and dispensaries to meet the rules and regulations governing medical marijuana testing in the state of Oklahoma.
- Responsible for operating, troubleshooting, sample preparation and data analysis.
- Prepare chemical solutions for use in processing samples, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.
- Use various analytical techniques and instrumentation, such as liquid- and gas-chromatography, as well as inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.
- Documents results of tests and analyses in an organized and timely manner.
- Interpret data and communicate specimen results with cultivators, dispensaries, and laboratory staff with complete confidentiality.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of laboratory quality control and assurance procedures in compliance with ISO regulations.
- Responsible for testing, calibrating, and performing quality control tests on lab equipment.
