Transportation of cannabis products is by company vehicles.

The Human Resources and Payroll Manager/Administrator will develop and run the daily HR functions for a for a growing, multi-state group of medical/adult-use cannabis testing companies. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting industry and to develop the department from the ground up. Currently, we have 60+ employees and anticipate continued rapid growth.
The right candidate will be comfortable working in a fluid environment with frequently changing priorities and evolving cannabis regulations.
The Human Resources and Payroll Manager/Administrator will work from our corporate headquarters in Boca Raton, FL and will be required to periodically travel to the company's various locations as needed. Those locations currently include Bethlehem, PA, Westminster, MD, East Hanover, NJ and Orlando, FL.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs such as compensation, benefits administration, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations.
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Administers payroll processing ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; develops policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Develops and implements formal disciplinary procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Develops and implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and support the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

Laboratory Manager:

The Human Resources and Payroll Manager/Administrator will develop and run the daily HR functions for a for a growing, multi-state group of medical/adult-use cannabis testing companies. Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Laboratory Director:
We are in search of an experienced lab director that seeks a challenging position leading an independent testing laboratory serving the medical/adult-use cannabis industry in New Jersey. While US Cannalytics has operational cannabis testing laboratories in other states, our New Jersey location will be new and require a "start-up" mindset to be successful.
The laboratory director will be responsible for all aspects of lab operations. Initial responsibilities will include laboratory setup, validation, talent recruitment, and training. Once production commences, responsibilities will shift towards operational execution - ensuring the timely delivery of high quality results and unparalleled customer service. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing laboratory design and build-out
- Overseeing equipment installation and procurement
- Executing method validation and developing validation reports
- Maintaining analytical equipment (i.e. HPLC, GC-MSMS, LCMSMS, ICP-MS, qPCR analytical balances, autoclave, centrifuge, biological safety cabinets, fume hoods, etc.)

Laboratory Director:
We are in search of a motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented individual that seeks a challenging position leading an independent testing laboratory serving the medical cannabis industry in Orlando, Florida. While US Cannalytics has operational cannabis testing laboratories in other states, our Florida location will be new and require a "start-up" mindset to be successful. Therefore, we are in search of someone with:

The laboratory director will be responsible for all aspects of lab operations. Initial responsibilities will include laboratory setup, validation, talent recruitment, and training. Then, as operations commence, responsibilities will shift towards operational execution - ensuring the timely delivery of high quality results and unparalleled customer service. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Method development and optimization
- Maintaining analytical equipment (i.e. HPLC, GC-MSMS, LCMSMS, ICP-MS, qPCR analytical balances, autoclave, centrifuge, biological safety cabinets, fume hoods, etc.)
- Inventory management
- Data entry
- Final review of data
- Generation and issuance of Certificate of Analysis
- Ensuring compliance with laboratory policies and procedures, state regulations, and ISO-17025 quality management system
- Client relations
- Managing staff (i.e. assigning duties, creating schedule, performing employee reviews)
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a biological science and a minimum of 4 years post-degree laboratory experience related to testing of medicinal or pharmaceutical products or other experience as approved by the Department or
- A master’s level degree in a chemical or biological science and a minimum of 2 years post-degree laboratory experience related to testing of medicinal or pharmaceutical products or other experience as approved by the Department or
- A doctorate of science or an equivalent degree in chemistry, biology, or a subdiscipline of chemistry or biology.
- Appropriate experience with HPLC-PDA/UV, HPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and/or ICP-MS
- Managerial experience
- Flexibility to take on new assignments and see them through to completion
- 3-years experience using Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to effectively multitask
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agilent HPLC, GC, and ICP-MS instrumentation and software
- Knowledge of chemical properties/profiles of cannabis and cannabis-specific dosage forms
- Experience working in a regulated system, specifically an ISO 17025 quality management system
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on experience and skillset. Earned equity options shall be available to qualified candidates.

While US Cannalytics has operational cannabis testing laboratories in other states, our New Jersey location will be new and require a "start-up" mindset to be successful.
The laboratory director will be responsible for all aspects of lab operations. Initial responsibilities will include laboratory setup, validation, talent recruitment, and training.
