Responsibilities:

Work Environment
The incumbent works in a laboratory environment with proper lighting and temperature control. Client visits may require protective clothing and equipment according to the facility environment. Physical dexterity is necessary to effectively manipulate a keyboard. The incumbent can expect extended time spent in a sitting position. Three to seven nights a month maybe needed to travel to other laboratory locations and attend professional seminars.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of a broad range of plant medicine products, processes, and cultivation preferred (e.g. Cannabis, Hemp, CBD and Fungi).
- Working knowledge of regulations (local and federal), Good Laboratory Practices, and current official methods with at least 3 years experience working in an accredited laboratory.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in plant medicine safety, quality and value.
- Experience as a Cannabis Laboratory Director is a plus.

Our El Dorado Hills, CA Lab is currently seeking at QA Director to join our Lab Team.
As a key member of the Quality team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Managing the Quality Management System (QMS), standards compliance, and laboratory accreditations.
- Designing and implementing improvements in human, technical, safety and quality systems to improve data quality, operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Understanding and evaluating the analytical chemistry methods used by the laboratory; ensuring compliance of the laboratory’s procedures with promulgated methods and accepted validation requirements
- The QA Manager functions independently from Laboratory Operations, having responsibility for quality assurance, independent of production deadlines and financial responsibility.
- Leading the laboratory’s QA/QC and data quality improvement activities
- Managing, maintaining, and expanding the lab’s accreditations and licenses
- Implementing and revising the QA program as needed to address deficiencies as well as opportunities for improvement
- Ensuring the laboratory’s QA Manual and SOP’s are written, organized and compliant to standards
- Completing, evaluating, and reporting PT results; completing associated corrective actions as needed
- Ensuring documentation of personnel training, (IDOC’s) is compliant and readily available
- Providing QA/QC training for staff; identifying additional training needs and developing training materials
- Proactively ensuring compliance to ethics program
- Documenting & evaluating the validation of new analytical chemistry testing methods
- Conducting internal audits and data assessments; hosting and participating in external audits
- Detecting, resolving, monitoring, and closing non-conformances and corrective actions
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental testing regulations and requirements, including TNI/NELAP/ISO-17025, DoD/DoE QSM, SDWA, CWA, RCRA

The Regional Operations Director will have supervisory control of all operations and production aspects of multiple laboratories. The Laboratory Regional Operations Director is primarily responsible for the application and development of the labs’ resources to meet current and future client requirements with lab directors and service center managers reporting to them. The Regional Operations Director is responsible for the development and execution of short- and long-term goals within the region. Critical to the success of the region is creating a sense of in-region collaboration between all sites as well as across Enthalpy’s national lab network.
As a key member of the Team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Define, revise and implement policies and guidelines for the organization.
- The Regional Operations Director responsibilities encompass the general business management of the region, and all its resources, including equipment, facilities and personnel.
- The ability to lead, manage and inspire staff to adopt goals for their department, business, and region through effective communication and goal setting.
- Ensure that the highest standards of quality and customer service are maintained.

Responsibilities

SV Labs, LLC, a cannabis safety compliance testing company, has a new opening for a Laboratory Scientific Director in Pheonix, Arizonia. The facility will provide chemistry and microbiology testing services for cannabis cultivators and processors as mandated by the state of Arizonia Department of Health Services for cannabinoid potency, chemical residue, mycotoxins, residual solvents, terpenes, heavy metals, and microbial contamination.
The Lab Director is responsible for the planning and operational performance of the laboratory. The laboratory in Pheonix, Arizonia is new and will require some validation and verification of methods. The role oversees the day-to-day operations and ensures compliance standards for quality and safety. The Lab Director is accountable for knowing the following all state regulations, federal, company procedures, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. In addition, the Lab Director is responsible for communication with other Laboratory Managers/Directors within the company to help support organizational and method growth throughout the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the analyst and technician team promoting a supportive environment that provides high productivity. This includes but not limited to hiring, coaching, and performance management, and employment status.

Requirements:
- Must hold an MD or a PhD in a natural science and have 3 years’ full-time laboratory experience in a regulated laboratory environment performing analytical scientific testing in which the testing methods were recognized by an accrediting body, a Master’s degree in a natural science and 5 years’ such experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in a natural science and 7 years’ such experience. No exceptions can be made to these requirements.
- Must have excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Must have prior supervisory experience.
- Must have strong leadership skills.
- Must have significant experience with HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS, and/or qPCR instrumentation.
- Must pass an extensive background security check and must be able to obtain a Colorado Department of Revenue – Marijuana Enforcement Division Employee License prior to or at the time of hire.
- Must have excellent references.
- Experience with operating in an ISO 17025, CLIA or similar accredited environment is a strong plus.

Position Overview
The Laboratory Director oversees the Curio Wellness state of the art laboratory. This lab tests cannabis and cannabis-based samples in support of product development, manufacturing, and cultivation operations. Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods for various products.

Qualifications and Skills
Required:

- Strong instrumentation experience required with a variety of chromatography instruments is a must such as HPLC-UV, GC-FID, Moisture Balance, Karl Fisher, etc.
- Familiar with laboratory analysis reports, stability reports, Certificate of Analysis, Raw Material release and technical reports.
- Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated environment (GMP, ISO, OSHA) is preferred. – pharmaceutical, food safety, clinical, forensic, environmental and cannabis experience preferred.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and basic quality systems under GMP, ISO, or related standards is a must.

SENIOR SCIENTIST – Laboratory Director
This position requires a broad knowledge of analytical chemistry obtained from a degree and related job experience, to analyze and interpret data accurately and troubleshoot an array of instrumentation. Cannabis Laboratory experience required.
Expertise in troubleshooting analytical instruments is necessary to maintain the day to day operations of the laboratory. REQUIREMENTS
M.S. in Chemistry, Engineering or Material Science, plus equivalent experience
5-10 years of hands-on experience in a regulated laboratory environment (i.e. ISO17025)
Proficient in Microsoft Suite Software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
QUALIFICATIONS
Operational experience with HPLC, HS-GC-MS GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS
Proficiency with LabSolutions, Chemstation, MassHunter, Chromeleon, Xcalibur, or WinLab32
Experience with LIMS and QMS.
Knowledge of ISO17025 standards
Strong understanding of California Bureau of Cannabis Control 16 CCR (California Code of Regulations Title 16)

Lab Director
We are seeking a full-time, highly organized, and motivated individual to manage the day-to-day operations involving the extraction, post-processing, and distillation of cannabis biomass and oils. · Overseeing all laboratory personnel

· Ensuring that the laboratory has the appropriate resources and facilities to perform required work
· Acts as the laboratory public liaison with community events, regulatory bodies and agents, and industry events

· Reviews and approves all SOPs and policies prior to their implementation and ensures all approved SOPs and policies are provided to laboratory personnel and are adhered to
· Nominating deputies when the CSO and QA Director are absent
· Ensuring that all analysts and supervisors have the appropriate education and training to properly carry out the duties assigned to them, and ensures that this training has been documented
· Acts as client liaison to discuss results and expectations with clients, as well as provide client education when appropriate
· Ensuring that corrective actions relating to findings from the audits (internal/external) are being followed by staff to ensure no reoccurrences
· Works with the general partners as needed to develop and improve new client acquisition, client retention, services pricing, new capital equipment expenditures
· Perfecting ordering and purchasing of lab supplies and equipment as needed
· Consults with laboratory analysts and technicians over technical issues, data analysis, troubleshooting
· Ensuring lab safety plans are followed
· Develops employee training and record keeping in accordance with state and regulations
· Responsible for oversight of all building maintenance issues and reporting these to the General Partners as needed
· Reviewing an annual management system review from the QA Director and participating in the annual management system review meeting
· Select vendors in accordance with the required standards to ensure the highest quality testing

As the Laboratory Director, you will work closely with the Facility Owners, General Manager and the processing team to extract industrial hemp oil into distilled and isolated products in our labs. Duties and Responsibilities:

The Director of Laboratory Operations will have a chance to own an equity stake alongside a world-class founding team as we get our industrial hemp extraction and processing site off the ground in Central Oregon. You would report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and play a key role as part of the executive team.
The Director of Laboratory Operations will be responsible for managing all aspects of our extraction laboratory, including processing hemp biomass, crude oil extraction, refined oil distillation, analysis, formulation, storage, and HS&E (health, safety and environmental).
The Director of Laboratory Operations will be responsible for the daily functions of the production and analytical laboratory departments including leading extraction, analytical testing, and post-processing operations. The Director of Laboratory Operations will lead, develop and manage both direct and indirect reports in intra and inter-departmental activities.
In this role, the Director of Laboratory Operations will also collaborate with the QA/QC team and key management in the achievement and maintenance of the company’s quality accreditations and certifications including, but not limited to, cGMP, ISO, SQF, and HAACP.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate sophisticated laboratory equipment, including ensuring the proper use, function, and ongoing maintenance of all related equipment, chemicals, and other consumables
- Assist in creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) that include compliance to cGMP, ISO-17025 standards, and other relevant authorities
- Assist in training every team member to follow all SOPs regarding equipment operation, product development, and lab safety

Requirements:
At least a Bachelor of Science in a science-related degree (Masters or Ph.D. preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience with at least 3 years industry scale expertise working with solvent-based extraction in a production environment such as hemp, cannabis, coffee, vegetable, or similar extraction techniques using good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Proficiency working with analytical equipment, some equipment may include HPLC, GC/MS, LCMS, qPCR, and ICP-MS.
Experience with various extraction methods as well as the purification, separation and isolation of specific compounds using technologies including but not limited to Flash and Prep chromatography.
- Ability to use statistical methods
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment; ideally with multiple daily shifts

Laboratory Director General Responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory expenses related to all operations activities including equipment, labor and supplies.
- Management responsibilities including, but not limited to: involvement in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity, and daily operations of multiple levels of staff and multiple functions/departments across matrix organization.
- Manage inside operations, including production, process evaluation and monitoring.
- Work closely with the Quality team to assure method and SOP compliance.

- Monitor and manage facilities and equipment and keep both in sufficient working order.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university; Minimum 8-10 years of relevant industry and laboratory operations experience including management experience.

- Advanced knowledge of principles, terminology, practices, techniques and instrumentation commonly used in a laboratory setting.

Laboratory Director:
We are in search of an experienced lab director that seeks a challenging position leading an independent testing laboratory serving the medical/adult-use cannabis industry in New Jersey. While US Cannalytics has operational cannabis testing laboratories in other states, our New Jersey location will be new and require a "start-up" mindset to be successful.
The laboratory director will be responsible for all aspects of lab operations. Initial responsibilities will include laboratory setup, validation, talent recruitment, and training. Once production commences, responsibilities will shift towards operational execution - ensuring the timely delivery of high quality results and unparalleled customer service. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing laboratory design and build-out
- Overseeing equipment installation and procurement
- Executing method validation and developing validation reports
