The WSLCB Finance Division is announcing an exciting opportunity for a Fiscal Analyst 3 position in Olympia, WA. This position reports directly to the General Accounting Supervisor in the WSLCB's Finance Division. The position serves and complements the WSLCB's mission and goals by providing excellent customer service to our internal and external customers. This position complies with all laws and rules, federal policies and regulations, state policies and regulations governed by the Office of Financial Management (OFM), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and WSLCB policies/procedures related to accounting. The successful candidate will have the ability to provide timely and accurate financial data ensuring efficiency and maximum benefit of state resources.
As a Fiscal Analyst 3 in the General Accounting Unit, you will perform a variety of duties in accounts payable. Your responsibilities are processing contract and vendor payments. This includes verifying invoices are calculated properly, have proper approvals, backup documentation is attached, and proper budgets are being charged when coding the invoices for payment.
Your responsibilities will also include processing employee travel advances, employee travel reimbursements, responding to travel questions from agency employees, reconciling employee travel advances, and reviewing agency credit card statements used for agency travel expenditures.
The General Accounting Unit’s responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel, and asset management. Process vendor payments for rent, utility, telephone, and internet.- Record and log payments received for taxes, fees, licenses, violations, and other state agencies.
