The Lead Packaging Technician (LPT) supervises the departments daily activities which includes packaging and labelling various liquid and solid materials into final product forms and packaging materials including preparing them for shipment. The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory or packaging experience and will very detail orientated when it comes to weighing, measuring, counting, and performing quality control of the products, along with proper data recording and management. Additionally, the successful candidate will have good troubleshooting and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary
The Lead Production Technician (Packaging) is responsible for safe and effective packaging and labeling of medical cannabis for ingestion/inhalation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the packaging technician staff to achieve shift packaging goals for final packaging of products. This position will work closely with the Packaging Supervisor to organize work, train staff and monitor production and quality.

- Set up room for efficient operation of trimming, pre rolling, and packaging
- Convert in Biotrack flower from cultivation batch record to trim, grind, finish product, and waste records
- Accurately fill out Master batch record (TTLF's, TLF's, TGR's, TPR's) both paper and electronically (EBR)
- Collect hourly metrics from trim, preroll, packaging, and biotrack labeling/QA
- Accurately maintain the DMR (daily manufacturing report) to ensure reconciliation of flower and accuracy and completeness of data
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Help monitor and manage packaging equipment, supplies and inventory.
- Executing all filling and packaging procedures in an efficient manner in compliance with company's SOP's and all applicable manufacturing procedures.
- Perform in-process and post-process sampling according to protocols or batch records.
- Support new product lines and process development as needed.

Job Summary
The Lead Production Technician (Packaging) is responsible for safe and effective packaging and labeling of medical cannabis for ingestion/inhalation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the packaging technician staff to achieve shift packaging goals for final packaging of products. This position will work closely with the Packaging Supervisor to organize work, train staff and monitor production and quality.
Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Set up room for efficient operation of trimming, pre rolling, and packaging
- Convert in Biotrack flower from cultivation batch record to trim, grind, finish product, and waste records
- Accurately fill out Master batch record (TTLF's, TLF's, TGR's, TPR's) both paper and electronically (EBR)
- Collect hourly metrics from trim, preroll, packaging, and biotrack labeling/QA
- Accurately maintain the DMR (daily manufacturing report) to ensure reconciliation of flower and accuracy and completeness of data
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Help monitor and manage packaging equipment, supplies and inventory.
- Executing all filling and packaging procedures in an efficient manner in compliance with company's SOP's and all applicable manufacturing procedures.
- Perform in-process and post-process sampling according to protocols or batch records.
- Support new product lines and process development as needed.
- Ensuring compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures.

What you will do
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Packaging Technician to join our growing dynamic team! to assist the manufacturing team in the production of cannabis based medicines. The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto! The Lead Packaging Technician will assist the manufacturing team in the production of cannabis based medicines, this includes the coordination of packaging techs in bucking plants and trimming flower for sale, final packaging flower, pre-roll production, and coordinating with the Cultivation Manager and General Manager on production schedules. This position reports directly to the Cultivation Manager.
Highlighted Responsibilities
- Maintain record keeping for harvested flower material
- Work with the Cultivation Manager in overseeing the bucking of harvests. trimming of flower, and pre-roll production
- Communication with the Cultivation Manager on required seed to sale system updates as material is processed
- Update the seed to sale system as requested by the Cultivation Manager
- Maintain chain of custody logs for the trimming room
- Oversee product quality, and inform the Cultivation Manager of any observed defects due to processing techniques, cultivation output, or other factors
- Manage the curing process to the Cultivation Manager's specifications
- Maintain Curing Room logs
- Maintain Curing Material labeling to ensure accuracy of inventory management
- Oversee the quality of work by the other Packaging Techs. Assist in training and retraining of Packaging Techs as required to maintain optimal product quality while meeting productivity goals
- Perform other duties as listed in the Packaging Tech job description as required

Lead Packaging Technician
Compensation: $20.00 p/hr

Wemelco Industries is seeking a candidate to perform packaging & labelling various liquid & solid material activities, including preparing items for shipment as part of the company production operations.

The Lead Packaging Technician (LPT) supervises the departments daily activities which includes packaging and labelling various liquid and solid materials into final product forms and packaging materials including preparing them for shipment. The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory or packaging experience and will very detail orientated when it comes to weighing, measuring, counting, and performing quality control of the products, along with proper data recording and management. Additionally, the successful candidate will have good troubleshooting and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
ยท Supervising packaging employees and workflow
ยท Training new hires and recording appropriate documentation of that training
ยท Participate in managing packaging materials and their inventory control
ยท Participate in continuous improvements in Training and QC systems involving the Packaging Department
ยท Package a variety of product types and formats, including but not limited to vaporizer cartridges, as quickly and efficiently as possible
ยท Label, obtain, move, and sort products and orders accurately
ยท Spot and remove defective products before they are packaged into any finished order
ยท Clean and inspect finished and packaged products to ensure all proper specifications are met
ยท Properly document all work, using company forms and following company procedures
ยท Maintain a clean and organized work area
ยท Maintain all packaging equipment
