Role Expectations

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Laboratory Technician who shares our passion for quality medicine for patients who need them. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for operating the facility’s extraction equipment, utilizing processing protocols and strategy, and day to day production. The Laboratory Technician assists the extraction department through the activities required to manufacture, store, maintain, and procure all equipment and materials necessary to run a world-class extraction lab.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- All equipment safely and efficiently, including the grinding mill, CO2 extractor, rotovap, and other processing apparatuses
- Follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and applicable government regulations in the industry

SUPERVISOR, RETAIL OPERATIONS
Reports to: General Manager;
Position Overview: The Supervisor, Retail Operations (the “Supervisor) is responsible for assisting the Manager with interfacing, consulting with qualified patient and caregiver and administering approved medical marijuana products. The Supervisor oversees all activities related to the operation of the Dispensing Facility to include patient identification and registration, record retention, product tracking and inventory control as directed by the Manager.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- The Supervisor, Retail Operations ensures compliance with all Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program rules and regulations governing the Act, and directly supervises the activity within the dispensary to include dispensary staff training and education in the absence of the Manager and as directed.
- The Supervisor, Retail Operations provides management and leadership in the Dispensing Facility to include monitoring all point of sale transactions.
- The Supervisor, Retail Operations manages patient specific logs as required, the receipt, storage and auditing of all inventory, and is responsible for ordering new inventory and supplies, maintaining accurate records using BioTrackTHC, the Dispensing Facility’s inventory tracking software program.
- As the responsible party at the Dispensing Facility, this position resolves all inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts.
- The Supervisor, Retail Operations is responsible for the development of the Dispensing Facility’s privacy policies and procedures, the security and confidentiality of all patient information, as well as overall compliance with HIPAA.
- This position acts as a liaison internally between all staff, dispensary management team and the Manager, and externally between the Dispensing Facility and law enforcement, Commissioner of Health, and the local community.
- Directs and monitors department managers to accomplish goals of the plan, consistent with established and safety procedures.
- Establishes methods to follows the operating plan in compliance with the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program, maintaining records required by public health law and ensures quality assurance plans, including but limited to plans to detect, identify and prevent dispensing errors related to product packaging and labeling.
- Manages and implements policies and procedures for any retesting of returned approved medical marijuana products, storage and disposal and meeting reporting requirements for adverse events and product recall.
- This position is responsible for assisting with implementing and maintaining security systems for tracking, record keeping, record retention and surveillance related to all product at every stage of, storage, delivery, transporting, and distribution.

Position Overview: Under general supervision, Sales Associates provide guidance and education to each patient with medical marijuana needs. Position Overview:
The Manager, Facility Operations is responsible for the facility and managing the day-to-day operations in accordance with local and state laws, regulations, and standards set by the Company. This position manages functional operating units such as Horticulture and Cultivation, Inventory Control and Manufacturing Production which may include Extraction, Pharmaceutical Production and Commercial Kitchen operations. The Facility Operations Manager has responsibility for all staff in the facility and acts as a liaison externally between the Cultivation and Dispensing Facilities and the local community, including law enforcement.
- Maintain a highly focused, diligent, lean operational culture dedicated to Columbia Care’s established mission objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all State and local laws, rules and regulations governing the local medical marijuana program, and other regulations such as OSHA, HIPAA, NFPA and others.
- Oversee staff training and education to ensure that SOPs, Health and Safety, and good agricultural and manufacturing practices are followed.
- Manage security of the facility in partnership with corporate VP, Security. This includes implementing and maintaining security systems for tracking, record keeping, record retention and surveillance related to all product at every stage of, storage, delivery, transporting, and distribution.
- General facility repairs and maintenance and overseeing minor Capex projects.
- Work with Cultivation and Manufacturing teams to establish protocols to ensure the facility can maintain efficient production throughput and establish and implement procedures focused on increasing yields and finished goods production while reducing costs and increasing quality within the approved SOP framework.
- Establish and meet daily/weekly production requirements and KPI’s.
- Work with department leads/supervisors in maintaining GMP audit-readiness.
- Ensure Just-In-Time inventory management is maintained as it pertains to the production of finished goods, raw materials and other inventory items as required.
- Work with Quality Management to ensure vendor relationships are maintained and able to support cultivation, manufacturing and production needs.
- Assist state and local government officials and law enforcement with inventory, sales and compliance audits.
- Oversee and manage the tracking of all inventory in seed to sale software system and liaise with the accounting department to maintain, with the administrative, flower, and post-harvest staffs, control of all inventory (plants, in-process products, and final products) in the facility.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

THE POSITIONThe County is seeking a professional Director of Planning with exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as outstanding analytical, technical and problem solving abilities.
The Director of Planning is the principal management position for the County’s Planning Department and serves as a key member of the County management team. The Planning Department, with an allocated full-time staff of 11.00 allocated positions, is a separate County department operating under the general direction of the County Administrative Officer. The Director will be appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
The new Director will find diverse engaged communities that are very interested and participatory in the planning process. Calaveras’ geographical setting and historical significance provides unique planning challenges such as preserving the historical heritage of the County, supporting agriculture, at the same time facilitating and promoting economic growth and sustaining an overall quality of life. This position works closely with representatives of the County’s Building, Public Works and Environment Management agencies as well as the Calaveras Council of Governments and local special districts to implement applicable land use policies. Combined, these responsibilities make this assignment a highly visible position that will regularly make presentations to the Planning Commission, the Board of Supervisors, and a variety of community groups and organizations.
THE DEPARTMENT
The Planning Department is responsible for review and approval of development applications including CEQA review, applying zoning standards to building permit review, and implementation of the General Plan. The Department is also responsible for FEMA flood hazard mitigation compliance as well as administration of the Surface Mining and Reclamation Act.The department’s current projects consists of:· A new General Plan adopted in 2019 with numerous implementation measures being prioritized and developed· Comprehensive zoning ordinance update, updating vacation rental and agri-tourism provisions· Preparation and adoption of a GHG reduction plan· New ordinance development for open space requirements and dark skies· Refinement of cannabis regulations· Housing Element implementation· Development of several community plans· Implementing AB 273 standards for CEQA documents.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of these service delivery areas, as well as development agreements, mitigation fees, and project management and delivery.

Position Overview:
Processing Technicians are responsible for all aspects of plant processing from crop harvest through packaging and labeling of the final product ready for customer sale as outlined by the management team. These responsibilities include trimming, assembling completed product materials into various containers and packages as well as ensuring that the appropriate quantity, weight, and type of product is packaged. This position works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity and acts with professional regard to the management and use of all production facilities and processing equipment. Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Assisting in the harvest and post-harvest plant processing of medical cannabis
- Fan leaf removal, harvest, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, recording, inspection of product in addition to cleaning and sanitation
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Hand trim fan leaves from medical marijuana plants before harvest using shears, scissors
- Transport harvested plants to drying and hang to be dried
- Operate a trimming machine (if needed) to remove guard and/ or sugar leaves from medical marijuana

Position Overview: The Extraction Technician is responsible for the facility’s overall extraction process and day-to-day production following established protocol and regulations. The Extraction Technician will lead the extraction lab team through the activities required to manufacture, store, maintain equipment and materials necessary to run a world-class extraction lab.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Follows Policies & Procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with state medical marijuana regulations.
- Maintains testing and formulating operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational policies and procedures.
- Performs QA/QC through analytical testing for quality, consistency and efficacy.
- Works closely with production team on all elements of the testing and formulating process.
- Masters various techniques for marijuana extraction and infusion, including butane extraction.
- Develops expertise in testing and formulating methods as well as the purification, separation and isolation of various compounds of cannabis.
- Responsible for inventory, recordkeeping and quality of product at all times, maintaining inventory via seed to sale tracking.

Position Overview:
The Cultivation Technician is responsible for plant care in all stages of life-cycle cannabis growth to include germination, vegetative, flowering and harvest. The Technician journals, monitors and tracks all observations in the company’s software tracking system.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Clone, plant, water, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees, using hand tools and gardening tools.
- Harvest plants, and transplant or pot and label them.
- Record information about plants and plant growth.
- Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease.
- Fill growing tanks with water.
- Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality.
- Clean work areas and maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Check and water all plants in cultivation facility as outlined in the Daily Room-Checklist.
- Transplanting plants into larger containers as needed.
- Trimming plants in the vegetative stage and creating clones from material.
- Washing pots/trays/lights, etc. retuning them to the appropriate Clean Room
- Harvesting and Trimming flowering plants.
- Staking weak plants.
- Examining plants for signs of pests or disease.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- One to three years of experience in a related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment.
- Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations, and analysis.
- Working knowledge of medical cannabis and cannabis-infused product production from seed to sell. Alternatively, a background in horticulture and a willingness to learn.
