Summary
Provides customer service to existing clients within our Cannabis, Smoke Shop, Products & Pyrotechnics programs including but not limited to quoting renewals, endorsement changes, client follow-ups, phone calls, payment processing.
Essential Functions
Obtaining renewal information and/or underwriting information for Cannabis, Smoke Shop, Products & Pyrotechnics accounts
Follow-ups on applications to quote renewals and renewal quotes.
Determining premiums
Checking/reviewing policies for accuracy
Binding policies and completing associated paperwork
Inputting transactions to generate billing invoices
Ensuring that items are delivered to clients in a timely manner
Receiving phone calls from clients, brokers and companies
Answering questions via email and phone for clients/brokers
Take and process payments
Processing policy change endorsements
Developing relationships with brokers
Participate in marketing meetings to assist in developing marketing ideas/materials for programs worked on
Perform other duties as assigned

Position Summary: Cosmic Distribution, a Santa Rosa-based cannabis distribution and manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Accounting Manager / Controller to join our rapidly growing team. The position is responsible for managing the Accounting Department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of private contributions, loans, and government contracts
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly close and financial statements, as well as prepare supporting documents for monthly and annual compliance audits
- Analyze accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory costs, and internal controls to provide management reporting in the area
- Account reconciliations and support schedules as part of month end close
- Prepare journal entries as part of monthly transaction and closing process
- Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state and local tax filings
- Supporting and supervising accounting staff effort in daily and monthly transaction processing;
- Developing ad hoc financial analysis, and weekly cash flow reports
- Assist in accounts receivable collections
- Assist is preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Assist payroll in preparation of commission pay
- Assist in the cash management process, and perform other duties as requested.
