What you will be doing:
- Review samples for integrity.
- Prepare samples for analysis by blending or homogenizing.
- Store samples in an appropriate manner until analysis is completed. Ensure sample integrity is maintained.
- Prepare packages for pick up by shipping vendors. Follow appropriate procedures to send packages and maintain all related documentation.
- Prepare samples to be shipped to other testing facilities when necessary. Complete appropriate documentation.

Position Overview

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
The purpose of the class is to protect life and property, enforce laws, and investigate crime. The class is responsible for surveillance, law enforcement, investigations, apprehension, and reporting. The class works according to set procedures under direct supervision. This job classification provides service to the community on a 24 hour basis during all hours of the day and night. In order to accommodate this 24 hour service, this job class is required to work on rotating schedules, which includes working weekends and holidays, and may involve work in excess of regularly scheduled hours (overtime) when required by operational necessity.

- Conducts routine patrols in residential and business areas; maintains contact with businesses and residents to establish good relations.

What you will be doing:
- Drive off-site to client locations to receive and transport samples to laboratory.
- Review samples for integrity.
- Prepare samples for analysis by blending or homogenizing.
- Store samples in an appropriate manner until analysis is completed. Ensure sample integrity is maintained.
- Prepare packages for pick up by shipping vendors. Follow appropriate procedures to send packages and maintain all related documentation.
- Prepare samples to be shipped to other testing facilities when necessary. Complete appropriate documentation.
- May assist laboratory personnel with other duties as needed.
- Must be able to help perform basic tasks in a laboratory environment including, but not limited to washing prep tools, weighing, or measuring samples, and other basic tasks.
- Ensure compliance with assigned SOP’s.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Degree or Equivalent
- Valid VA driver’s license with good driving record
- Experience in a scientific setting preferred.
- Positive attitude.
- Prioritization, time management and initiative.
- Function in a rapidly changing environment with an excellent ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently with minimal instructions.
- Excellent organization.
- Lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

- Oversee accounting process (financial reporting using SAP).
- Manage monthly accounts receivable and invoicing.
- Manage monthly accounts payable.
- Process invoices (check for accuracy, follow up on changes, code for payment, authorize and forward)
- Oversee collections, work with clients to resolve aging items, communicate collection progress to the General Manager.
- Conduct month-end accounting processes and reporting, working with Tentamus NA finance team.
- Act as point of contact for external inquiries from customers, suppliers, building management, and others.

Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar with proven track record of performing accounting tasks.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Perform responsibilities/duties as required to ensure top quality plants are produced in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Walk greenhouses and scout plants for top quality and ensure shipping schedules are adhered to in a timely manner.
- Operate vents, fans and heaters to maintain proper growth environment in greenhouses.
- At times, growers will be required to perform duties such as watering, other duties, to be determined, and operate essential machinery.
- Assist with and/or perform additional operational duties and/or as directed by management.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education and Experience: Horticultural education preferred, but equivalent experience is satisfactory.
Licenses and/or Certificates: Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of rules, regulations, and guidelines of Federal and State Department(s) of Agriculture.
- Ability to make decisions recognizing established precedents and practices and to use resourcefulness and tact in solving new problems.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships.
- Ability to take and follow direction and possess the ability to work with little to no supervision.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Working Conditions: Both indoor and outdoor work environments. Frequently exposed to extreme cold and/or hot temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions.
Risk/Safety Conditions: Moving mechanical parts and machinery, high temperatures, and/or other conditions within the greenhouse facility, to be determined.
Essential Physical Activities: Walking, sitting, hearing, seeing up close, seeing far away, talking, standing, finger movement, repetitive motions, depth perception, regularly lift 40 pounds, occasionally lift 60 pounds, climbing, crawling, stooping, crouching and wearing a respirator.
