Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple agriscience focused labs to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services meet or exceed regulatory standards, profitability and company goals.
- Collaborate with leadership, industry, clients, and trade associations to understand and meet regulatory bio-pesticide testing needs.
- Analyze results of lab activities/processes to management and lab personnel to recommend continuous improvement ideas/plans.
- Review research, testing, quality control/assurance, and other operational reports to ensure quality standards, efficiencies and schedules are met.
- Direct overall strategy plan for quality improvement initiatives and utilize data generated form applicable sources to lead quality focus.
- Maintain and guide policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Approve creation of and/or modification of method standards, procedures, specifications, and processes.
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and relevant trade associations, participating in committees, symposiums, etc., to keep current on industry trends, regulations, and ability to gain new business.
- Represent Tentamus North America as a Sr. Leader.
- Assist sales and marketing in developing materials including quotations, reports, technical papers, and presentations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, and 10+ years of increasingly responsible experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and vision in managing staff and major projects/initiatives.
- Regulatory testing experience, regulatory training, and/or an in-depth knowledge of bio-stimulant, agricultural crop protection, agricultural chemical, agricultural biotechnology, organic, biocontrol, nutritional, food ingredient and feed industries.
- Familiarity with development and efficacy of microbial pest control agents.
- Strategic thinking skills and experience developing and executing strategic business plans.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Team building experience. Self-motivated with initiative and the ability to work successfully as part of a team.
- Experience with budgets, P&L statements, and financial management.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.

What you will be doing:
- Review samples for integrity.
- Prepare samples for analysis by blending or homogenizing.
- Store samples in an appropriate manner until analysis is completed. Ensure sample integrity is maintained.
- Prepare packages for pick up by shipping vendors. Follow appropriate procedures to send packages and maintain all related documentation.
- Prepare samples to be shipped to other testing facilities when necessary. Complete appropriate documentation.
- Perform sensory evaluation of food products.
- Drive off-site to client locations to receive and transport samples to laboratory.
- May assist laboratory personnel with other duties as needed.
- Must be able to help perform basic tasks in a laboratory environment including, but not limited to washing prep tools, weighing, or measuring samples, and other basic tasks.
- Ensure compliance with assigned SOP’s.

What you will be doing:
- Receive and log in samples in preparation for analysis. Review sample and any attached documentation to assign identification number and enter information into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Prepare documentation acknowledging receipt of samples.
- Contact client to obtain and clarify missing or unclear information.
- Ensure appropriate storage of samples and maintain sample inventory.
- Coordinate sample flow between departments in the laboratory.
- Prepare packages for pick up by shipping vendors. Follow appropriate procedures to send packages and maintain all related documentation.
- Prepare samples to be shipped to other testing facilities. Complete appropriate documentation.
- May assist laboratory personnel with the preparation and analysis of samples.

EPL Bio Analytical Services, member of Tentamus Group is hiring a Quality Manager to establish and maintain an ISO credited routine analytical division to provide customized analytical laboratory testing services to hemp/cannabis industry.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure EPL is compliant with regulatory standards and proficiencies required by US Hemp Law and applicable state regulations to acquire ISO 17025.
- Outline SOP’s and necessary quality manual documents as necessary to acquire accreditations.
- Oversee EPL’s training and proficiency testing programs.
- EPL’s internal audit and customer audits program main contact and participate in governmental and ISO accreditation audits.
- Work with Laboratory Management to ensure corrective/preventative actions and complaints are addressed promptly.
- Adhere to all ISO and relevant regulations.
- Participate in professional development courses and conferences to maintain job knowledge/skills.
- Address quality concerns and complaints with clients, initiating CAPA as necessary.
- Create Laboratory Quality Reports for the Director of Quality.
- Schedule, participate in, and/or lead Quality Management meetings.
- Approve method validations and data review as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Experience in hemp/cannabis analytical testing.
- Knowledge of scientific method, data interpretation, and analyses.

EPL Bio Analytical Services, member of Tentamus Group is recruiting an experienced Lab Analyst to provide customized analytical laboratory testing services to the agricultural crop protection, agricultural chemical, agricultural biotechnology, organic, biocontrol, nutritional, food ingredient and feed industries.
With 12 independent U.S. labs, we are passionate about testing food, water, cosmetics, and hemp/cannabis for quality, compliance and product safety. What you will be doing:
- Working in a GLP regulated environment
- Working with a high volume of samples in a variety of matrices
- Working in collaboration with a team to meet tight deadlines with high quality work
- Following sample preparation from beginning to end
- Preparation of lab standards and solutions
- Working with data analysis using Microsoft Excel
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Molecular Biology, Protein Chemistry, or a relevant analytical field with 5 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 2 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hands-on lab experience
- An organized mindset
- A good team attitude
- A great ability to manage time and work efficiently
- A strong dedication to meeting internal and external deadlines
- The ability to troubleshoot any problems that may arise during their work
Specific technical skills required:
- Experience with microbiological or enzymatic biochemical assays
- Experience with UV/VIS spectrometer
- Experience with microplate reader
- PCR and qPCR
- Southern & Western Blot
- ELISA
- Gel electrophoresis: Agarose and SDS-PAGE
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Desirable skills:
- Experience in a molecular biology lab set up
- Experience with ELISA method development and trouble shooting
- Assisting with general laboratory/equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies
Location/Hours/Travel:
Based in Niantic, IL, schedule is Monday through Friday day shift with occasional overtime (second shift/weekend) to meet customer demands. Travel may occasionally occur for customer care, educational, or career development.

Tentamus Virginia, member of Tentamus Group is seeking a Microbiology Technician for our laboratory in Fredericksburg, VA to perform analysis of food, water, and environmental samples and maintain the Microbiology Laboratory. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our laboratory by contributing to method development.

What you will be doing:
- Sample preparation and processing.
- Counting and interpretation of plates.
- Data entry into LIMS.
- Receipt of samples into the laboratory as well as sample retain disposal.
- Preparing media and supplies for testing.
- Troubleshoot assay and equipment problems.
- General maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Participate in writing and revising SOPs, forms, protocols.
- Assist in the development and optimization of test methods.
- Maintain logbooks related to inventory and equipment.
- Ensure the laboratory is clean, safe, and properly stocked.
- Make detailed observations in support of Excursion and OOS result investigations.
- Participate in the qualification of equipment, methods, and processes.
- Participate and perform special studies & projects to service client needs.
- Work flexible hours to support clients; includes occasional weekend work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, or similar bioscience,
- 2 - 3 years related experience preferred.
- Positive attitude.
- Prioritization, time management and initiative.
- Function in a rapidly changing environment with an excellent ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently with minimal instructions.
- Excellent organization, analytical and technical writing skills.
- Experience with the following skills: Pipetting, aseptic technique, plating (pour and spread plates), counting plates.
- Basic knowledge of microbial organisms and microbiological techniques
- Experience in GMP SOP/ISO review and documentation.
- Lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/LIMS applications.
- Attention to detail and good handwriting.
Shift:
Monday through Friday day shift with occasional weekend OT.
