An opportunity has arisen at our corporate headquarters in Bucks County, PA for a full-time, R&D Chemist with a focus on sample preparation, method development, use of solid phase extraction and QuEChERs for food safety, cannabis and environmental testing, some research, and who has a solid background with GCMS & LCMS instrumentation. SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for performing routine tests and analysis related to research and development projects. Other responsibilities include archiving test data, troubleshooting analysis problems, method development, sample prep, solid-phase extraction and maintenance of the R&D lab.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine solid phase extractions on biological specimens.
- Plan and execute method development, method validation and method transfer studies; independently and as part of a team.
- Assist in the development of new methods to address customers and/or client’s needs or specific requests using existing sample preparation and chromatography products.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments including GC-MS, GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS.
- Stay up to date with US FDA and EPA guidelines and other industry regulations to ensure UCT products can be used in future methods for food safety, cannabis, and environmental testing that involve the use of solid-phase extraction, QuEChERS, and GC-MS or LC-MS analysis.
- Provide technical laboratory support for research projects involving food safety, environmental testing (e.g. drinking water) and cannabis.
- Execute presentations, training, and educational seminars geared towards the food safety, cannabis, and environmental markets when called upon.
- Assist Quality Control team when needed to assess the effectiveness and cleanliness of select UCT consumables and sorbents that are commonly utilized in food safety, cannabis, and environmental testing.
- Must be familiar with basic chemical principals.
- Design and troubleshoot research projects with assistance from the R&D Supervisor.
- Archive Test data and results.
- Perform a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Assist other chemists in the maintenance and upkeep of the lab.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; scientific writing experience preferred.
- Positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary group.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of 2 years method development and sample preparation and/or appropriate laboratory experience is required.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at the retail level, including staffing, training, scheduling, buying, visual merchandising, cash management, inventory management, and compliance adherence. This role requires competence in a fast-paced environment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively interact with patients and other members of the Team to ensure a positive culture and the best possible patient experience for our clientele. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of cannabis; its various forms, its chemical composition, effects, dosing, titrations, methods of consumption, and quality metrics
- Present a professional image in appearance, actions, and words
- Ensure accuracy with all cash handling
- Abide by city and state regulations at all times
- Maintain suitable inventory levels, perform daily inventory audits, and conduct all End of Month Inventory Counts and Reconciliations
- Receive deliveries, build purchase orders, and maintain accurate records
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
- Assist with Store Scheduling
- Complete daily and weekly tasks/duties as assigned by the Store Manager(s) and Regional Manager
- Maintain neatness, organization, and overall cleanliness of the entire store
- Attract customers by originating display ideas; following display suggestions or schedules; constructing or assembling display properties; producing merchandise displays in showcases, and on the sales floor
- Effectively and diplomatically handle employee or customer concerns and complaints while interfacing with the Store Manager(s) and the Regional Manager
- Evaluates competition by visiting competing stores; gathering information such as style, quality, and prices of competitive merchandise
- Pre-Screen, interview, and develop a team who are passionate about medical cannabis and the service they provide
- Train store staff by reviewing, revising and implementing training materials; delivering training sessions; understanding the staff needs of the store and build depth on the bench to ensure all Company initiatives can be expedited with ease
- Lead by example through being the ultimate illustration of service, dedication, pace and energy
- Mentor, motivate, elevate and inspire the team through training and performance reviews to ensure the company’s culture and expectations are met and exceeded
- Follow established policies and procedures and execute all company programs for customer service, staff management, patient and visitor management, inventory management, cash handling, state compliance, and safety and security guidelines
- Provide support with various employee initiatives and team building
- Assist with different off and on hour events and specials

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred
- Experience or study emphasis in biology, medicine, horticulture, agriculture, business, management, or hospitality
- Minimum of five years combined dispensary, call center, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience
- Excellent computer and technical skills, including experience with web browsers, retail POS systems, and credit card processing terminals.

The Dispensary Patient Consultant is vital to delivering customer service and offering a distinctive shopping experience that drives sales results. The Dispensary Patient Consultant is primarily responsible for aiding patrons and patients through concierge-level service. The Dispensary Patient Consultant conducts day-to-day operations within the retail location while adhering to company policy and industry regulations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Provide outstanding, accurate customer service to patrons by answering or appropriately directing questions and concerns
- Lead tours of sales floor within the store, making product recommendations based on ongoing research of products available

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
Enforcement of Client and Company policies and procedures.
Observation and reporting of fire and safety hazards.
Conduct of routine foot patrols in and around building.
Reporting of all pertinent issues and incidents to the general manager, Deputy Chief of Security and other Security Managers as appropriate.
Interaction with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public
Operate all surveillance CCTV and related equipment
Ensure that date and time stamps on videos are accurate and that camera views are not obstructed
Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the operations, controls, and procedures involved in surveillance activities
Immediately notify VP of Global Security/SOC in the event of a mechanical malfunction of the security or surveillance system that is anticipated to exceed a 4-hour period
If the facility has been notified in writing by the Department or its authorized agents, law enforcement, or other Federal, State, or local government officials of a pending criminal or administrative investigation for which a recording may contain relevant information, the facility shall retain an unaltered copy of the recording for 4 years or until the investigation or proceeding is closed or the entity conducting the investigation or proceeding notifies the facility that it is not necessary to retain the recording whichever is longer.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Dispensary Patient Consultant is vital to delivering customer service and offering a distinctive shopping experience that drives sales results. The Dispensary Patient Consultant is primarily responsible for aiding patrons and patients through concierge-level service. The Dispensary Patient Consultant conducts day-to-day operations within the retail location while adhering to company policy and industry regulations.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Inventory Specialist will report to the Store Manager to assist the store’s operations. The Inventory Specialist will also be primarily responsible for:

Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge and competitors programs/products.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring an assortment of product, and communicating inventory action items with the Inventory Control Manager

Manage delivery receipt of products and the mapping of product in POS system confirming accuracy of inventory transport manifest.
- Ensure that products are available to customers on the online menu by the end of delivery day on scheduled days worked. Communicates to Inventory Control Manager and confirms when deliveries are officially mapped and completed in the system so deliveries are properly tracked and recorded into the Leaf Logix system.
- Aware of and comply with all IDFPR procedures in regards to, tracking, maintaining written/electronic logs, documents, and inventory reporting.
- Accountable for system efficiency; catches investigates, reconciles, and reports all discrepancies to -Store Manager

Conduct inventory spot checks throughout the week
- Process purchase and sales orders upon receiving invoices/manifests and notifying Inventory Control Manager/ of its availability to map into the system upon completion (Products/Strains will be prebuilt into system by Inventory Control Manager beforehand).
- Keeps an eye on ancillary products and notifies Inventory Manager when in need of purchasing.
- Establish inventory controls to conduct monthly inventory reviews and annual comprehensive inventories of products at the facility. A written or electronic record shall be created or maintained of each inventory findings and the employee identification numbers, titles or positions of the person who conducts the inventory.

- Can be called upon to act as Shift Supervisor as needed, see Shift Supervisor Job Responsibilities including cash management and opening/closing the store.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required

- Experience or study emphasis in biology, medicine, horticulture, agriculture, business, management, or hospitality
- Minimum of 2 years combined dispensary, call center, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience
- Excellent computer and technical skills, including experience with web browsers, retail POS systems, and excel spreadsheets.
- High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, organization, mathematical, communication, and reasoning skills
- Must be comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions and decimals, and high-volume cash handling

The Research & Analytical Chemist requires someone that has a strong background with environmental testing (water, food safety, pesticides, etc.) and/or EPA methodology exposure, is a self-starter and possesses exceptional organizational, communication and presentation skills.
OVERVIEW
Primarily responsible for performing routine tests and analysis related to UCT environmental research and development projects. Other responsibilities include technical support for domestic/international sales force, publicly presenting applicable research, training of sales team and customers, and troubleshooting analytical problems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with contacts at the USEPA to get written into future methods where the use of solid phase extraction and GC or LC-MS analysis is accepted.
- Evaluate environmental analytical data generated utilizing UCT consumables in an efficient manner, in accordance with Regional and USEPA data validation guidelines and publish analytical methods to ensure data quality objectives are met.
- Provide technical laboratory support for research projects characterizing emerging contaminants in a variety of environmental matrices (e.g., biosolids, wastewater, surface and ground water, soils, sediments and plants).
- Execute the QuEChERS approach for Food Safety Testing when needed.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments including GC, GC/MS and LC-MS/MS.
- Technically support and train both domestic and international sales force and customer base on UCT published application notes and products with an environmental and food safety concentration.
- Assist Quality Control team when needed to assess the effectiveness and cleanliness of select UCT consumables and sorbents that are commonly utilized in environmental testing.
- Execute presentations, training, and educational conference seminars geared towards the environmental market when called upon.
- Perform a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Must be available to travel up to 30-40% of time (as deemed appropriate while following CDC guidelines/protocols) to include applicable conferences and tradeshows, domestic/international customer visits, and distributor training
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; scientific writing experience preferred.
- Positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary groups.
- Comfortable with public speaking in regards to executing presentations, training, and educational seminars.
- Detail-oriented personality and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects.
Required Education and Experience:
- M.S. or Ph. D in Chemistry/Environmental Science/Biology.
- 5-7 years related experience.
- Minimum of two years environmental laboratory experience.
- GC-MS/LC-MS extensive operation experience required.
- Familiarity with USEPA Analytical Methods and USEPA data validation guidelines methods for the analysis of drinking water, wastewater and solid waste extraction, specifically the 500, 800, and 1600 series including UCMR4 updates.
