Vegetation Supervisor - Production (MA)
Job Description
The Vegetation Supervisor is an essential role in the structure and efficiency of a state-of-the-art cannabis production facility. A Vegetation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing a team of team leads and associates throughout day-to-day activities related to the cultivation schedule; specifically, around the vegetative growth phase/area. A successful supervisor will communicate closely and clearly with their team to ensure all daily vegetation duties are understood and executed within the allotted hours of the daily schedule. A Supervisor's expert knowledge of all Temescal’s vegetative cultivation standard operating procedures will be conveyed through the training of all new cultivation associates. All vegetation leads and associates will report to the Vegetation Supervisor. This position reports directly to the Cultivation Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Cultivation Manager in directing all vegetation staff, weekly scheduling, reporting and training within the vegetative sector of cultivation
- Ensure that all vegetative functions and timelines are completed in accordance to the cultivation schedule
- Ensure that all vegetative activities adhere to state regulations and guidance
- Perform daily room maintenance checks to ensure all environmental conditions fall within provided parameters of the vegetative rooms, report daily
- Perform daily plant health checks to keep record of plant health through its vegetative cycle, report daily
- Oversee and ensure the completion of daily logs/checks performed by the vegetative associates and leads
- Identify/spot and report: pests, poor plant health, nutrient deficiencies and toxicities, transplant shock, equipment failures and safety hazards of all rooms

The Sr. Operations Manager oversees the inventory and facilities functions for our state of
the art cultivation facility in North Adams, MA. This includes direct management of Inventory

Reporting to the CEO, the Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that the
company effectively uses the following systems: Labor Scheduling and Forecasting Tools,
Materials and Inventory Management Systems, Production Scheduling, Product Planning
and Inventory Management (PPIM) tools, and finally Equipment, Methodologies, and
Techniques as they pertain to the manufacture, packaging, and fulfillment of our cannabis
product. Working in close collaboration with Director, Cultivation, the Sr. Operations Manager
will help to inform quality efforts and will provide feedback on strain performance for MIPs.
The Sr. Operations Manager evaluates the potential and practicality of products in
development and uses experience, judgment and ROI analysis to recommend new products
and or processes. The Sr. Operations Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that the
production facility is in an optimal state, and that the production schedule is upheld to ensure
that production deliverables reach retail and wholesale customers on-time and accurately.

Job Description
The Vegetation Supervisor is an essential role in the structure and efficiency of a state-of-the-art cannabis production facility. A Vegetation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing a team of team leads and associates throughout day-to-day activities related to the cultivation schedule; specifically, around the vegetative growth phase/area. A successful supervisor will communicate closely and clearly with their team to ensure all daily vegetation duties are understood and executed within the allotted hours of the daily schedule. A Supervisor's expert knowledge of all Temescal’s vegetative cultivation standard operating procedures will be conveyed through the training of all new cultivation associates. Responsibilities
- Assist the Cultivation Manager in directing all vegetation staff, weekly scheduling, reporting and training within the vegetative sector of cultivation
- Ensure that all vegetative functions and timelines are completed in accordance to the cultivation schedule
- Ensure that all vegetative activities adhere to state regulations and guidance
- Perform daily room maintenance checks to ensure all environmental conditions fall within provided parameters of the vegetative rooms, report daily
- Perform daily plant health checks to keep record of plant health through its vegetative cycle, report daily

- In conjunction with your Dispensary Manager, you strategize to meet expense and profit goals for the store.

- You recruit and hire people who are passionate about the powerful benefits of cannabis.
- You hire people with diverse backgrounds and include individuals who represent the community where your store is located.
- You teach your Team Leaders communication and ownership skills, establish frequent feedback loops, and help to train your Assistant Store Manager successor.
- You are an approachable, transparent, and supportive leader who acts as an entrepreneur for your store using Clear Sky’s mission and core values as your compass.
- Your staff never have to guess how they’re doing since you provide ongoing feedback, coaching, training and acknowledgment.

- You maintain a safe and secure environment for your team and customers, and resolve any concerns quickly with the Dispensary Manager.

We’re seeking people who are passionate about their communities, the environment and caring for others. We need people who participate in and appreciate our core sports. We’re looking for someone who builds and maintains relationships with ease and desires to put the customer at the center of everything they do.
- Experience managing a team of people and a passion for growing and developing employees.
- Demonstrates highly developed emotional intelligence.
- Ability to make sound judgment calls in the absence of the Dispensary Manager
- Flexible amidst competing priorities and adaptable to the fast-paced environment of a highly regulated retail store while rallying the team with positivity.
- Interest and aptitude for strategic business planning that responds to a specific community.
- Experience in inventory management, auditing and analytics
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel and carry products necessary for customer service, inventory stocking and store merchandising.
- Continually able to walk up and down a staircase carrying boxes, products and other necessary items.
- Able to regularly perform store maintenance: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean.
- Able to safely lift boxes up to 55 pounds.
- Comfortable climbing ladders.
SCHEDULE
Our stores are open seven days a week. You must be available to work a minimum of one weekend day, two opening shifts and two closing shifts per week. You must report to work on time or provide notification in advance if absent or late.
