The Role
The Senior Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the organization's buildings, ensuring that they meet legal requirements as well as health and safety standards. The Senior Facilities Associate will operate across the different operations teams, working on both a strategic and operational level to optimize the day-to-day operation flow, reporting status to the Fleet & Facilities Manager.

About the Job:
The Facilities Maintenance Associate will support equipment and facility maintenance and services of the cultivation facility to ensure that the needs of the organization and its employees are met.
- Be able to complete general maintenance tasks in the facility, including, but not limited to: troubleshooting, repair, cosmetics, plumbing, HVAC, and other maintenance tasks as directed.
- Be able to assist with maintaining each piece of equipment and system in the facility.
- Understand all systems within facility including, but not limited to, security, HVAC, plumbing, electric, fertigation, and Building Management Software (BMS).
- Troubleshoot issues with each piece of equipment and system in the building, incorporating knowledge of control systems and safety procedures.
- Maintain workspace, including proper organization of all tools and department supplies.
- Adhere to specific rules and regulations determined by the law and by the commission.
- Be aware of and comply with all safety and health regulations, including, but not limited to, hazardous materials (hazmat), personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Participate in problem-solving discussions about building, operations, execution, etc.
- As directed, meet with vendors.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: VERY LABOR INTENSIVE. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 80 pounds (125 pounds with assistance), may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Must have excellent balance and coordination. Job requires occasionally climbing heights above 20 feet. Standing, crouching and reaching for extended periods of time. Good eye sight and hearing are essential. Ability to work in all types of weather and temperatures.
About You:
General
- Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a fingerprinting background check – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing regulations.
Education/Experience:

- Scheduling and compilation of day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
- Participation in Site Safety meeting, including providing updates on status of next steps for outstanding or completed items

- Coordinate on-site contractor activities and scheduling and in conjunction with Nabis Visitor Safety procedures, and provide on-site leadership while present for the following:

Requirements:

The Role
The Nabis Fleet and Facilities Maintenance Associate is a locally based role that ensures the execution of the Nabis Corporate Preventive Maintenance, Safety Inspection and Vehicle Compliance programs in accordance with operational standards and ensures adherence to all local legal, health, and safety regulations. This role operates in collaboration with the on-site Operations and People teams, providing both strategic and corrective maintenance based solutions and to ensure the proper allotment of required resources are available to support the day to day operations for both "Under the Roof" and "On The Road" activities. This role reports directly to the Facilities Manager or Senior Fleet & Facilities Operations Manager (in case of a locally based vacancy)
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance and documentation of the Daily Vehicle Inspection/Launch process, ensuring road readiness for all dispatched equipment, including Delivery Vehicles and Larger Format Commercial Fleet

About the Job:
The Facilities Maintenance Associate will support equipment and facility maintenance and services of the cultivation facility to ensure that the needs of the organization and its employees are met.
- Be able to complete general maintenance tasks in the facility, including, but not limited to: troubleshooting, repair, cosmetics, plumbing, HVAC, and other maintenance tasks as directed.
- Be able to assist with maintaining each piece of equipment and system in the facility.
- Understand all systems within facility including, but not limited to, security, HVAC, plumbing, electric, fertigation, and Building Management Software (BMS).
- Troubleshoot issues with each piece of equipment and system in the building, incorporating knowledge of control systems and safety procedures.
- Maintain workspace, including proper organization of all tools and department supplies.
- Adhere to specific rules and regulations determined by the law and by the commission.
- Be aware of and comply with all safety and health regulations, including, but not limited to, hazardous materials (hazmat), personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Participate in problem-solving discussions about building, operations, execution, etc.
- As directed, meet with vendors.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: VERY LABOR INTENSIVE. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 80 pounds (125 pounds with assistance), may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Must have excellent balance and coordination. Job requires occasionally climbing heights above 20 feet. Standing, crouching and reaching for extended periods of time. Good eye sight and hearing are essential. Ability to work in all types of weather and temperatures.

- Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a fingerprinting background check and drug screening – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing regulations.

- Previous facility maintenance experience in a large commercial environment required.
