The Dry-Cure Technician will assist with the harvest, processing, and production of high-quality cannabis along with cleaning and maintaining laboratory grade equipment, recording, and entering data in multiple forms, and associated tasks delegated by management. The Dry-Cure Technician will be responsible for consistent, sanitary, and processing of cannabis adhering to company policies to successfully uphold quality control and consistent product production. The individual has the responsibility of harvesting, hanging, drying, curing, shucking, trimming, and any other processing of the cannabis plant and flowers and any cleaning required for each.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Adhere to specific quality control SOP’s regarding procedural operations and quality of product produced
- Record all cleaning activities in daily logs
- Identify unsafe scenarios as they pertain to the Dry-Cure Department
- Complies with Syracuse facility SOPs and New York State guidance on proper disposal methods for solvent and cannabis contaminated waste.
- Manage high-stress situations and be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment when the situation requires
- Perform general routine/daily maintenance on Dry-Cure equipment - troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and regular data logging
- Wash and sanitize all surfaces, containers, equipment, and any other ancillary Dry-Cure equipment
- Record all cleaning activities in daily logs
- Maintain and log all data sheets for chemicals and products physically and digitally
- Effective communication with the Dry-Cure Supervisor/Management Team to ensure all operational needs are met and any procedural problems are addressed and resolved proactively

Position Summary: Under direction from the General Manager, the Dry/Cure Tech I is responsible for handling post-harvest cannabis material. He or she shall be responsible for the post-harvest processing of plant material, daily oversight and care of the product through the drying and curing process, running standard production machinery, and assisting with general packaging of products within our production facility.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Coordinate with the harvest team in scheduling harvest, scheduling and space requirements, processes, and plant care.
· Assist handling and transporting all harvested plants from cultivation rooms to the trim room
· Handling, transporting, and disposing of all waste material from dry/cure
· Support for harvest and trim team.
· Monitoring the status of the dry room and all product in the process of drying
· Recording wet and dry weight for all product including flowers and trim
· Overseeing bulk packaging, transfer, and storing in product vault
· Preparation of product for retail and wholesale markets
· Assure daily compliance with company policies including but not limited to state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, facility maintenance, and work schedules
· Oversee accurate filling, packaging, and labeling of products within the production facility. This includes, but is not limited to: finished flower, pre-rolls, cartridges, concentrates, edibles, and other marijuana infused products
· Maintain that all production areas and equipment are clean and sanitized at all times according to standard operating procedures
· Understand and apply the use of Metrc, our seed to sale tracking program
· Possess a willingness to work hard and learn every day
Competencies:
· Must be at least 21 years of age and have current Colorado MED badge
· 3+ years’ experience processing cannabis or other botanicals
· 1-2 years’ experience in warehousing and inventory preferred
· Ability to use and manage METRC; Experience using METRC required
· Ability to establish protocols, create tracking systems, and write SOP’s
· Must have reliable transportation, with the ability to come on time each day.
· Must be able to work as a team, keep a positive attitude, and help others.
· Candidate should also be able to independently and demonstrate self-motivation and initiative.
· Must be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure, and technique.
· Must have a basic understanding of the Marijuana laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state.
· Ability to perform a monotonous task with great efficiency over 8-hour work periods without losing quality.
· High School Education or GED graduate; some college or college graduate preferred.
· Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
· Ability to communicate clearly and accurately. Ability to keep meticulous records and weigh accurately is non-negotiable.
· Long periods of prolonged standing and sitting while maintaining focus.
