Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of over 9 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, tobacco, cannabis, and toxicity testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.
Our El Dorado Hills, CA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Data Entry Specialist to join our team.
As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Assisting with data reporting through comparison of multiple data sets
- Reviewing each data point for accuracy
- Uploading data into Vista’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Utilizing LIMS to create sample reports
- Working collaboratively with team members to ensure sample data meets all requirements
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Data Entry Specialist for cannabis testing laboratory
Cannabis Testing Lab

We are a full-service cannabis testing and research lab offering state-mandated testing services to California’s cannabis distributors, cultivators, and manufacturers to ensure safety and accurate labeling of products for medical and recreational use.
The Data Entry Specialist role is a key position responsible for entering lab testing orders accurately and in a timely manner, coordinating pickups with clients, and invoicing clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive testing samples from drivers and via mail
- Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness.
- Inspect samples to ensure sample integrity is retained, sample quantity is sufficient, and that the packaging is not compromised.
- Enter testing orders into the lab information management system (LIMS)
- Log samples into spreadsheets for tracking.
- Alert staff when new samples arrive via messenger and in-person communication.
- Call or email clients to clarify details of testing orders.
- Track deadlines for release of testing results for each order.
- Make sure all samples are placed in the proper storage area to await analysis.
- Scan Chain of Custody forms.
- Create and send client invoices via QuickBooks.
- Reconcile invoices with order intake system.
- Plan routes for sample drivers.
- Establishing organizational systems and maintaining them.
Additional Duties May Include:
- Checking in samples using order intake system
- Picking up client samples occasionally
- Answering phones, answering questions about company’s services, and directing calls
- Handle employee expense reports
- Assist in ordering supplies for the lab
- Receive shipments from vendors, log invoices, and distribute samples to the lab
Qualifications:
· QuickBooks experience 4+ years
· Invoicing, A/P and A/R experience
· Phone answering 2+ years
· Customer service 3+ years
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational and planning skills
· Experience working independently in a small office setting
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment
· Proven ability to multi-task
· Self-starter, creative and great problem solving skills
· Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Must have a CA Drivers License with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Experience in a cannabis or environmental testing lab
