505 Organix is looking for an experienced bookkeeper familiar with or eager to work in the cannabis industry. We are looking to add to our team someone excited to hit the ground running in an expanding industry. Recreational cannabis sales are starting soon in our state. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting duties to ensure that our business continues to grow smoothly. After a probationary period, a flexible work schedule and/or hybrid work is available for the right candidate.
Regular tasks will include:
- Maintaining our QuickBooks accounts
- Coding and entering accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Preparing bank deposits
- Process employee timesheets and payroll
- Compile financial, accounting, and audit reports from the general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly and quarterly tax returns for senior review
- Maintain financial compliance with NM CCD guidelines and regulations
An ideal candidate will possess the following:
