Job Description
Summary of Position:
Our growing team is growing! We are seeking an experienced hydroponic or outdoor Grower to help advance our leafy greens production at Revol Greens.
This position will assist in growing Revol’s crops according to our quality and yield standards. The Grower manages all horticulture functions involving production management of the greenhouse crops, plant variety selection, and production forecasting. The Grower is proficient with the climate control system, Priva automation, and can apply scientific techniques to carry out production, optimize growing conditions, and increase productivity of existing plants.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Oversees planning and production of all stages of the crop cultivation
- Manages climate control system management, including daily and weekly plans/actions
- Coordinates the growing team and ensures all aspects of cultivation meet the needs of the crop for achieving maximum quality and yield
- Follows company SOPs and introduces new SOPs when necessary
- Maintains health of the crop by managing the irrigation and fertilization systems
- Manages water resources, water systems, and equipment
- Communicates regularly with Head Grower and IPM Manager to align on IPM goals for product
- Assists with training and troubleshooting with Assistant Growers
- Manages and adjusts the climate control as needed
- Does not experiment with alternative and innovative growing techniques to increase yield, unless specifically instructed by Head Grower
- Carries out trials of new plant varieties, collects data, and executes analyses to identify the best performing varieties

Working with the growing, care, and maintenance of the company’s horticultural products that are produced for wholesale or retail sales. Monitors crop development and trials. Maintains records of growing techniques and production to be used for review to identify trends and to forecast future space needs.

Job Duties: Manage all functions involving variety selection, planting, yield, and production management of the greenhouse Lettuce Greens. Monitor crops to determine pruning routines and picking schedules. Monitor light levels and inside/outside temperatures and humidity, determine appropriate irrigation, fertilizers, and pest/disease applications for all Lettuce production. Experiment with alternative growing techniques in an effort to increase productive yield. Monitor water quality and chemical composition of water in growing media. Manage plant quality during crop season controlling size and quality to meet customer requirements. Leverage expertise in plant breeding to make decisions about variety selection and space utilization and planting/replanting schedule. Manage three growers. Work with crop labor to maximize labor productivity and efficiencies. Prepare regular crop forecasts for pack-house and sales teams. Minimize horticulture waste and dumped plants. Provide job specific training to crop labor performing new activities. 25% domestic and 6% international travel required, to other company sites.
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Plant Sciences, Biochemical Engineering or a related field.
Experience Requirements: One (1) year of agricultural experience in high technology greenhouses, which includes one (1) year of experience with greenhouse climate management and pest and disease management. 25% domestic and 6% international travel required, to other company sites.

Job Description
Working with the growing, care, and maintenance of the company’s horticultural products that are produced for wholesale or retail sales. Monitors crop development and trials. Maintains records of growing techniques and production to be used for review to identify trends and to forecast future space needs.
Role and Responsibilities
Monitor short cuts in Priva to ensure greenhouse is at optimal conditions
Follow directions of head grower in determining appropriate irrigation schedule, and fertilizer application
Experiment with alternative growing techniques to increase productive yield
Determines fertilizer and water adjustments as necessary
Manage plant quality during time on pond controlling size and quality to meet customer requirements
Leverage expertise to make decisions about variety selection and space utilization and planting schedule
Prepare regular crop forecasts for packhouse and sales teams
Required to regularly work weekends and holidays for emergency and alarm coverage to maintain crop at all times
Maintain accurate records and ensure all duties are properly complete to keep crop at optimal levels

Job description
As a Head Grower, you will be responsible for growing Revol’s crops according to our quality and yield standards. This position manages all horticulture functions involving production management of the greenhouse crops, plant variety selection, IPM, production forecasting, and budgets. The Head Grower is proficient with the climate control system, Priva automation, and can apply scientific techniques to carry out production, optimize growing conditions, and increase productivity of existing plants.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Oversees planning and production of all stages of the crop cultivation;
- Manages climate control system management, including daily and weekly plans/actions;
- Coordinates the growing team and ensures all aspects of cultivation meet the needs of the crop for achieving maximum quality and yield;
- Maintains health of the crop by managing the irrigation and fertilization systems;
- Manages water resources, water systems, and equipment;
- Oversees pest and disease management, carrying out weekly and long-term control strategies which incorporate integrated pest management (IPM);
- DOES NOT experiment with alternative and innovative growing techniques to increase yield;
- Makes decisions about variety selection, space utilization, and the planting schedule;
- Carries out trials of new plant varieties, collects data, and executes analyses to identify the best performing varieties;
- Leads crop inspections to maintain quality standards;
- Leads growing team of 3-5 direct reports;
- Supervises the working environment to ensure compliance with company and statutory hygiene, health, and safety standards, as well as policies and procedures;
- Works with crop labor to maximize labor productivity and efficiencies; prepares regular crop forecasts for packhouse and sales teams;
- Minimizes horticultural waste;
- Required to regularly work weekends and holidays for emergency and alarm coverage;
- Provides job specific training to crop labor performing activities;
- Assists when needed with emergency administration;
