Summary:
The Production Lead’s role is to supervise the production team. Apply knowledge of food production and packaging in performing a broad range of duties related to the day-to-day operations and production of company products. This includes: the preparation of supplies, materials, and equipment; maintenance of equipment facilities; facility-keeping functions; and proper and safe use of equipment and materials.
Primary Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Supervise production team members and the daily activities and the production team.
- Communicate with plant manager and production team for daily production plans, packaging and maintenance of equipment related to production.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and follow the Michigan Health Authority regulations
- Input information into METRC ( tracking system)
- Record all pertinent information for manufactured products into daily production logs
- Provide input and guidance to improve daily activities and efficiencies.
- Prepare product packaging (sanitizing, drying, labeling, etc.) and assemble goods into final packaging.
- Maintain, clean, sanitize, and properly store production tools and equipment.
- Follow instructions for set-up and usage of equipment; immediately cease use and report equipment in need of repair to plant manager.
- Gather adequate supply of materials needed for daily production and follow proper chain of custody procedures (documentation and security) for supplies and ingredients.
- Enforce and maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA, GMP and OHA, ensuring proper ingredient storage and handling.
- Responsible for maintaining a tour friendly appearance in production rooms.
- Supervise production team in properly disposing of garbage at shift end and/or as needed.
- Train and assist new employees do their jobs efficiently
- Work closely with the distribution team to make sure all inventory levels are adequate and sufficient
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Food handlers card. This can be covered by SVBC at the time of
employment.
Requirements:
- Have great communication skills, with a can do attitude
- Be a team player, with strong problem solving skills
- Be able to create and send reports to management with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and
other reporting systems.
- Be able to lift up to 25lbs

contamination occurs.
- Operating, cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Storing supplies and equipment, disposal of waste according to compliance and guidelines,
and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate.
- Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record
keeping and filing.
- Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Food handlers card. This can be covered by SVBC at the time of employment.

· Accurately weigh and package all products
· Accurately record all required information
