Summary:
This is an entry level position on the production floor, helping out with all day to day duties. This is an open position that will help in all areas of production as needed.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance as well as, compliance with the Oregon Health Authority
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing
practices and standard operating procedures.
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
- Run or assist with pour operations.
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
- Assemble packaging material.
- Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
- Track production on schedule boards.
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Place finished goods on the designated areas.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area - cleans any/all production areas to ensure no cross
contamination occurs.
- Operating, cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Storing supplies and equipment, disposal of waste according to compliance and guidelines,
and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate.
- Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record
keeping and filing.
- Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Food handlers card. This can be covered by SVBC at the time of employment.
Requirements:
- Have great communication skills, with a can do attitude
- Be a team player, with strong problem solving skills
- Be able to lift up to 25lbs
- Be able to perform other duties as instructed
