Position Overview:
The General Manager is expected to execute the following roles and responsibilities in order to deliver consistent, positive, industry leading customer experiences and drive profitable top line sales. This will be accomplished by ensuring the following roles and responsibilities are executed, with the underlying commitment to our values, supporting our customers and our team.
- Build Talent – Attract, hire, develop, inspire and retain a team of 65+ employees.
- Drive Operational Excellence – Analyze the business and create / communicate clear action plans that optimize results and ensure effective execution of all operations activities.
- Drive Compliance – Lead a team that adheres to all cannabis state-specific rules, regulations and laws.
- Build the Brand – Build a store environment that is sharply focused on delivering exceptional in-store brand experiences.
OVERVIEW OF ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Managers are required to
Build Talent – Attract, hire, develop, inspire and retain a team of 65+ employees.
- Recruit, Hire and Staff the store.
- Coach, develop and maximize the success of all associates.
- Motivate, inspire and retain leaders and associates.
- Coach to drive desired behaviors across all roles.
- Ensure on boarding and continued training and education is delivered.
- Build an inclusive high performing team.
Drive Operational Excellence – Analyze the business and create / communicate clear action plans that optimize results and ensure effective execution of all operational and compliance activities.
- Analyze business, create action plans and gain buy-in from the team.
- Ensure team communication, leading weekly managers meeting and monthly team meetings.
- Drive maximum profitability by managing expense budgets, including deposits, accounts receivable and profit and loss.
- Direct workforce management activities.
- Direct inventory activities resolving all discrepancies in accordance with MI law.
- Oversee operational execution, ensuring all standard operating procedures are being followed.
- Ensures all technology solutions are working and functioning as designed.
- Ensure loss prevention / security policies and practices are being followed.
Drive Compliance – Lead a team that adheres to all cannabis state-specific rules, regulations and laws.
- Become an expert in all cannabis state-specific rules, regulations and laws. Execute and enforce compliance.
- Develop and drive proactive internal compliance controls and processes.
- Ensure all employees are up to date on regulatory changes.
- Foster positive and productive relationships with physicians, key regulators, inspectors and law enforcement personnel.
Build the Brand – Build a store environment that is sharply focused on delivering exceptional in-store brand experiences.
- Lead a consistent focus on customer loyalty and creating emotionally engaging customer experiences.
- Ensure visual standards are set in accordance with company direction.
- Direct the implementation of customer engagement strategies.
- Build a highly satisfied and loyal customer base.
- Coordinate and partner with team to drive the success of promotions and loyalty program.
- Oversees and signs off on product buys from our wholesale partners.
- Ensures the website and live menu is up to date and maintained.
- Leads and champions change and innovation in a fast moving environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in General Manager roles in retail or hospitality.
- Demonstrated success managing a location with P&L responsibility.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn state specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance is required.
- Open availability and can work a flexible schedule.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
*This position requires open availability and the ability to work nights and weekends.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Position Overview: In this role, you will combine your current knowledge of communication, social media, and marketing skills to support our overall engagement initiatives. You will be supporting strategic approaches on targeting audiences, coordinating communication lifecycle campaigns, and helping to reach our targets with creativity.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou'll develop campaigns to optimize patient & customer satisfaction, engagement, retention, and compliance. Core responsibilities will include:
· Monitoring loyalty points and creating ways to increase loyalty program members
· Assisting and overseeing local social media postings
· Building the patient experience post purchase
· Working with Senior Vice President of Retail to develop metrics and KPIs
· Development, execution and analysis of email & text campaigns to increase engagement, conversion rate, and customer loyalty.
· Assist in planning and executing communications from our marketing automation platform.
· Identifying opportunities to improve campaigns through data development, personalization, and dynamic content.
· Ownership of the day-to-day responses to comments by visitors to our websites and social media pages.
· Conducting market research to identify new revenue opportunities, the latest industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
· Other duties as assigned by retail or marketing leadership.
Required Skills and Knowledge
· Minimum of 3 years of CRM & customer engagement experience, with responsibility in determining the communication best practices, as well as methods for testing and optimization
· Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required.
· Knowledge of or willingness to learn state specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance is required.
· Vast knowledge of social media marketing to optimize patient/customer relations.
· Experience reporting on data-driven analysis to drive actionable, needle-moving results
· Knowledge and understanding of email marketing journey's and triggered communication

· Position will require traveling to our stores across the state of Illinois.
