A dispensary AM is the supporting captain of the ship! They can confidently manage staff, offering leadership skills to help them thrive and succeed in a busy fast-paced retail environment. The Assistant Manager is passionate about cannabis, knowledgeable about company policy and procedures with respect to the overall retail operations department. This position thrives on creating a team environment by providing knowledgeable information to staff and patients at all times. The AM is responsible for supervising and managing all day-to-day operations in accordance with the State of Missouri and standards set by Company. The AM provides support to all Cashiers, Dispensary Agents and Patient Coordinators which includes: scheduling, training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping updated with industry news and product information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for managing dispensary staff, schedules, inventory and patient relations;
· Serves as a role model and resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in regulations;
· Responds to all agent questions, concerns or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts
· Responsible for delegating tasks to Cashiers, Dispensary Agents and Patient Coordinators in order to maintain a compliant and clean facility; and
· Coordinates with the General Manager to ensure accurate information is communicated to dispensary staff.
· Thoroughly understand your job duties and responsibilities with opening and closing procedures and cash handling
· Represent Company policies and procedures with the highest dignity, integrity and professionalism
· Check with Inventory Team for new product received and any conversion needs.
· Minimize loss by ensuring all loss prevention procedures are adhered too, immediately report all theft
· Ensure menus match with real-time inventory
· Assist Inventory Control Manager for stockroom processing and replenishment procedures, ensures that all inventory management processes are performed in a timely manner
· Maintaining awareness of market trends in the accessory industry
· Strong ability to communicate and demonstrate the proper ways in which our team members should sell to our patients. This includes but is not limited to:
- Greetings
- Ability to create rapport with patients
- Menu Knowledge
- Strain Knowledge
· Ability to survey your team and give constructive criticism on ways to better engage
· Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Requirements:
· Must be possess a positive and willing to learn attitude
· Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and critically think through tasks and daily obstacles
· Ability to multitask with high sales volumes and inventory demands
· Must follow chain of command and company organizational structure
· Possess strong conflict resolution skills
· State issues driver’s license or State issued Identification card
· Must pass any and all required background checks
· Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
· Must obtain and retain a state local municipality work cards and agent badge(s)
· Must follow internal policies and procedures at all times
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years in Cannabis Leadership as Assistant Manager and or Sales Associate Lead / Supervisor
- Experience with Metrc Preferred
- Experience with Leaf Logix Preferred
· High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
· Experience with Microsoft, Apple applications and office database software systems (Google Docs).
· Previous high transaction volume inventory management
· Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience
Skills
- Proven work experience in retail and customer service, and or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Greenlight is aggressively building a best-in-class cannabis dispensary management team and currently seeks an exceptional Director of Retail Operations. The Director of Retail Operations will be responsible for the in-store customer experience to ensure that every location throughout our multi-state operation consistently reflects the company’s brand image. The Director of Retail Operations will be responsible for maximizing the profitability of the retail stores, controlling operating costs, and achieving sales and profitability goals. This person should have the ability to grow a business from the start-up phase through ongoing activities.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES
- Manage a sizable, geographically disbursed network of stores
- Develop regional, store, and assistant managers who exceed guest expectations, grow sales and maximize profit by rigorously selecting, diligently training and thoughtfully coaching and mentoring staff
- Ensure all stores are adequately staffed with quality Team Members and Shift Supervisors to optimize store performance
- Ensure that all retail facilities operate in full compliance with all applicable laws
- Coordinate with Director of Purchasing for purchase and supply of all products intended for retail sales
- Develop and implement monthly payroll budgets
- Develop and implement monthly and quarterly product cost targets
- Develop and implement initiatives to drive sales growth
- Maintain management depth by regularly planning for succession, actively recruiting and critically selecting internal and external management candidates
- Manage each region’s P&L including cost of goods sold and operating expenses
- Follow up on all customer and employee complaints and ensure necessary corrective measures at store level
- Coordinate all activities associated with timely new store openings
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, POS systems is required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree, Masters Preferred
- 5+ years relevant experience working in a Hospitality or Retail, brick and mortar environment with multiple locations and regions
- Experience with project management, change management and driving programs independently
- Experience working with start-ups and helping organizations through scaling
- A strong knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and human resources
- Consumer Packaged Goods and cannabis industry experience a plus
- Experience driving profitable sales
- Expert in retail with experience managing multiple retail locations
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of the business to enable effective operating decision-making
- Valid Driver’s license
- Ability to drive during the day and night
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds & stand on feet for extended periods
