As a member of the team, this position will be responsible for assisting with the accounting function for two subsidiaries of the parent company. The individual will analyze financial statements and data to verify accuracy and find and resolve discrepancies. What You’ll Do:
- Reports to the VP of Finance on all priorities (e.g. audits, financial requests).
- Direct and supervise the Accounting Team while following company policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Prepare and review period-end financial statements.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and projections to effectively manage cash balances.
- Perform analytical reviews of the monthly operating results to ensure the reasonability and accuracy of reports.
- Direct the transactional processing of financial processes.
- Book required journal entries to post period activity such as Payroll and Inventory.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Coordinate the preparation of audits and tax returns.
- Assist in maintaining all records and accounts.
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance.
- C.P.A. is preferred
- Understanding of cannabis tax laws and cannabis business; prior experience in cannabis
- 5-10 years of management experience in accounting or finance
- Strong background in manufacturing, inventory and finished goods
- Deep technical understanding of core accounting principles
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
- Strong experience in both the private and public accounting sectors is preferred but not required
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
- Current and relevant ERP system experience

Summary: Reports directly to SVP, Operations & Compliance (“SVP”), responsible foroverseeing all daily operations at the Santa Rosa facility. Must cultivate a culture ofcompliance through adherence to and implementation of Company’s written policy andprocedures (“SOPs”), and applicable laws and regulations. Manage a team of employeesacross manufacturing, logistics, inventory management and supply chain functions, requiringboth a hands on manager who is strategic in focus.The ideal candidate would be an experienced operational leader with strong experience in thefood, drug or cannabis manufacturing industry, with the ability to scale production of multipleproducts, therefore experience in Six Sigma, LEAN manufacturing, PMP certification is highlydesirable.Area of Responsibility:The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does notrestrict the tasks that may be assigned. - Production planning, inventory management, and warehouse management
- ERP system management and transactions
- METRC transactions
- Operations record keeping and data analysis to improve efficiencies
- Batch pre-weigh, manufacturing, filling, labeling and pack-out
- Cleaning & sanitization of production equipment and rooms
- Temporary staffing management (when necessary)
- Tech transfer & start-up of innovations
- Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades
- Supplier liaison (raw materials, packaging, equipment) for all products
- Practice GMPs, GDPs, and maintain compliance with state and local regulations
- Meet assigned KPIs including producing on time, at cost, and in specification
- Communicate effectively, cross-functionally between multiple locations, time zones, and
departments
- Partners with HR on employee relations areas as needed.
- Responsible for record-keeping in compliance with Company SOPs, and applicable laws
and regulations. Records include but are not limited to, batch productionrecords, master manufacturing protocols, hazard analyses, inventory records, employeetraining records, and all associated transfer documents. Recommend to SVPrevisions to Company SOPs as necessary.
- Track, monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve all manufacturing and
distribution operations.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports as requested by SVP.
- Responsible for the general condition of the manufacturing facility, by ensuring
maintenance/upkeep of Company machinery and equipment is performed as necessary.
- Oversees and implements guidance and training to Production Technicians
on Company standards and best practices in cannabis manufacturing.
- Responsible for intake, storage, and overall quality control/assurance of raw/bulk
cannabis inventory.
- Responsible for final required QA/QC of all finished goods cannabis products.
- Ensures Production Technicians contain all non-cannabis inventory necessary to fulfill
daily production (clean room garb, packaging, labels, etc.).
- Ensures OSHA compliance and oversees training to all Production Technicians on safe
use of machinery and equipment.
- Oversees Production Technicians to ensure production goals are completed to meet
inventory demands.
- Must adhere to all compliance, good manufacturing, and health/safety standards at all
times.
- Foster a culture of compliance in daily work to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty exceptionally. The requirements listed below are representative of theknowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's Degree, Science and/or engineering preferred
- 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment (Preferably in CPG,
cannabis manufacturing, or food/beverage)
- Production planning experience a plus
- Pilot plant management, scale-up, and R&D experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite
- Strong attention to detail, a positive and can-do attitude, desire to be hand-on with
production, equipment, and troubleshooting.
- Must be on-site full-time at the Santa Rosa facility during Production Technicians
scheduled shift, and available after-hours and on weekends as necessary.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and experience in a regulatory audit
environment highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the U.S. and Metric Systems of Measurements.
- Must be 21 years old.
- Fluency (verbal and written) in the English language is essential; ability to communicate
effectively both orally and in writing.

This position will be responsible and focused on process, procedure, and systems to ensure accurate and timely plant & product inventory recording. The METRC Administrator will be responsible of managing the Metrc system & ensuring compliance. This position’s primary responsibility is tracking all inventory throughout the cultivation facility. Clones, vegetative plants, flowering plants, harvested plants, harvest totals, trim totals, test batches, packages, and all on hand inventory totals at the facility for both our medical and future recreational licenses. The METRC Administrator will work closely with accounting, finance, operations, and sales teams to maintain inventory process controls. The successful candidate will have experience in a fast paced ever changing industry with an exceptional work ethic, attention to detail and strong observation skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Manages and maintains compliance with Metrc & the Michigan Regulatory Agency. Manages adherence to compliance rules and regulations surrounding inventory matters.- Entry of changes in plants and packages- Creation of manifests and verification of incoming/outgoing manifests- Respond to and advise the various departments within the organization regarding products, deliveries, etc.- Coordinate testing of dried product- Package inventory- Report results of trimming, packaging, and testing activity- Ensures physical organization of inventory- Conducts inventory audits, ensures accuracy of product and plants on hand. Identify and solve physical and electronic inventory discrepancies- Record and report any Metrc discrepancies to manager- Take part in overall facility cleanliness and organization- Maintenance of cash log- Other duties as assignedQualifications:- 3-5 years of experience with METRC, preferred- 3-5 years of inventory management experience in manufacturing or production, preferred- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, high level of organizational skill & the ability to produce concise, informative reports- Advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically with Word and Excel- Available to work 40+ hours a week- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced changing environment- Able to work independently and with others- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences- Organizational astuteness, managing efficient processes, process improvement, reporting skills- Must pass a background check- Can stand, bend, be on feet for numerous hours at a time- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds- Must comply with all legal regulations for working in the cannabis industry- Be a team player – support other groups as necessary- Minimum of 21 years of age
