Role Summary
The Director of Sales owns the annual sales planning/projections and results within a geographical area. This person will be responsible for seeking new business and up leveling the existing business at all channels & retailers: major pet store chains, independent pet stores, distributors, non-traditional stores, food, drug, mass, and other related pet channels. This person will work closely with SVP of CBD to ensure sales/revenue performance is on pace to meet plans projected through monthly and quarterly review meetings and report updates.
This person will be in charge of executing our sales strategies: mechanizing, pricing, packaging, and promotions to ensure we optimize our sales potential including seasonality, as well as high/low performance months. Other responsibilities include maximization of our pet brands sales potential through constant communication with peers, which includes reviewing performance promise and making recommendations for improvements, changes, and investments.
Responsibilities:
Manage, lead, and develop the pet channel to Therabis & Mary's Tails standards.
- Builds, develops, and motivates Pet retailers and distributors team to increase productivity and drive to revenue targets.
- Assists distributors and brokers to develop effective programs, promotions, routines and activities within their area and accounts and manage results expected.
- Spends adequate time training and coaching sales & merchandising team in the office and field to implement and execute our pet brands sales growth initiatives.
- Sets the annual sales target by channel and by store with both retailers and distributors.
- Communicates with Distributors/brokers on daily basis to ensure to hit monthly sales targets.
- Ensures that in-store execution in all accounts are consistent with our pet brands standards and that the sales force has the right tools and routines to implement with the stores and help them grow the business.
- Proactively utilizes our shared recourses marketing department to help manage retailer expectations in-store for product availability, visibility and price and promo’s communication to consumers.
- Works with key retailers to ensure they support the pet brands and products to deliver unique solutions for any slow sales performance at specific accounts.
- Communicates regularly with the field sales force, agency/broker and Pet distributors network to share best practices and identify opportunities.
- Ensures all sales team are managing in-store price promotions, events and activities with accounts using the correct POS/tools provided to them.
- Analyze monthly sales performance and recommend course correction where needed.
Budget/Annual Planning
- Works with manager and direct report to develop relevant budgets to drive necessary growth.
- Takes complete ownership for the entire sales budget (listing, slotting, promo’s, events, etc).
- Allocates budgets accordingly based on top accounts and highest ROI.
- Leads key contract negotiations to evaluate ROI (qualitative or quantitative depending on channel) and account specific programs and communicates key learnings.
Distributor Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of distribution sales performance and WoW in respective area.
- Meet with key brokers, sales agency, distributors on a monthly/quarterly basis for formal reviews.
- Ensures the field force and merchandising team are constantly interactive with distributors/brokers.
- Budget management to include an annual plan to allocate resources to deliver sales plans.
- Consistently evaluates the direct and indirect personnel working on the pet brands sales business and ensures that we have top talent in the field.
Experience and Education
- Minimum 5-7 years of pet retail sales and distribution management experience with a strong track record of success.
- Minimum 3-5 years working in Pet sales and meeting targets in challenging environments.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using internal and external data sources (IRI, Neilson, SPINS, Mintel, etc.)
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to gain results through others.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Innovative, solutions-oriented mindset
- In-depth knowledge of Pet and DSD/brokers industries
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

Role Summary
The (Assistant) Brand Manager, Health & Wellness leads all aspects of brand management and activation for an extensive portfolio of CBD brands including Aceso, Therabis and Mary’s Nutritionals and Tails. Working closely with the CBD sales and operations teams, the role holds responsibility for a full spectrum of activities including brand development, annual brand planning, consumer engagement, sales tool development and distributor and retail activation. The role will also partner directly with digital and eCommerce personnel to optimise digital brand presence and consumer acquisition and retention across direct and 3rd party digital channels. Creative and analytical, an embracement of ROI principals and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically will be key to the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion the Voice of the Consumer, working closely with Insights & Sales to develop a thorough understanding of the category, competitors and target consumers as the basis for all aspects of brand development and engagement planning.
- Maintain strong, compelling and differentiated brand propositions to optimize relevance and affinity with an evolving consumer base.
- Lead the development and execution of annual brand and related channel plans that deliver demonstrable awareness, equity & commercial growth ahead of both company expectations and competitive set.
- Develop and deploy relevant seasonal campaigns & promotions supported by comprehensive program playbooks and toolkits including all relevant sales collateral.
- Partner with digital and social teams to maintain an optimal digital presence across all owned and 3rd party channels including website, social media, direct marketing database and relevant eCommerce platforms.
- Measure and evaluate all marketing activity against pre-set KPI’s to ensure maximum efficiency of spend and return on investment.
- Demonstrate fiscal control via close management of all A&P budgets & marketing spends.
- Contribute to all new product development efforts, including product strategy, generating and testing new product concepts and creating market launch plans to guarantee success in the marketplace
- Work closely with the Director, Health & Wellness to ensure the CBD portfolio plays an appropriately complementary role in the company’s broader Health & Wellness portfolio strategy.

Role Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist monitors the outflow of capital for multiple entities within the state of Colorado.
Key Responsibilities
- Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed
- Completes a three-way match between purchase order, packing slip, and invoice, prior to properly coding the invoice to the correct account and correct entity
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions
- Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash
- Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices
- Other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts payable role, ideally with public companies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Self-starter, with ability to take initiative in fast-paced environment amidst shifting priorities
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and online technologies
- Experience working as an Accounts Payable Specialist with multiple entities
- Experience within CPG industry preferred

Dixie Brands is looking for a strong Brand Specialist in the Detroit or Ann Arbor area to join the team and play a vital role in the organization's sales process. The ideal candidate must be able to coordinate several responsibilities including but not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance the company's brand and reputation to the Market/end Consumer.
- Support Sales Team with Dispensary Staff Trainings, Special Events, and Promotions. The KPI goals/numbers may be adjusted according to the size of the market.
- Survey Stores (at least 30 Centers Weekly) for Inventory Management, POS, Training, Promotional, and new Product Placement Opportunities.
- Overall Market information to understand trends, new products, and Sales Strategies.
- Create and develop Dispensary staff incentives, Contests, and In-Store Features.
- Create and develop Dispensary Staff Facility Tours and Dixie focused events.
- Coordinate objectives with marketing and sales departments.
- Ensure merchandising and brand placement to company standards.
- Engage consumers at Point of Purchase to increase brand awareness and conversion.
- Drive profitable sales, brand growth and loyalty for a number of business areas.
- Develop and execute brand management plans.
- Identify brand-building areas to include increased Product/Brand Placements (Monthly Goal assigned monthly/quarterly).
- Coordinate and manage content and information sharing among departments, divisions, and external customers and social media.
- Evaluate customer objectives and provide solutions to generate additional sales.
- Contribute to Dixie success by increasing sales and profits through new business development and/or growing organically existing key customers, developing relationships with key decision-makers.
- Additional Responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Experienced Consumer products sales professional that has a proven track record of directly calling on and closing new business preferred.
- Direct experience managing retail outlets for consumer products
- Minimum of 2-years’ experience in the food & beverage industry.
- A highly motivated, self-starting individual who has direct knowledge of how to pursue and close new business development.
- Expert knowledge on the art of strategic selling and account management processes.
- Existing relationships with dispensary accounts/executives preferred.
- A goal-oriented, focused individual who needs little direction or supervision on how to effectively build our Dixie sales.
- A highly organized person who stays on top of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
