CANNABIS CULTIVATION MANAGER
Highly selective Michigan cannabis leadership opportunity, immediate relocation required
Dragonfly Vega is an established licensed cannabis producer and processor in Western Michigan, with immediate availability for two highly talented scale Cultivation Managers to join our growing team.
Please DO NOT RESPOND to this post with your resume unless:
- You have three years cultivation manager or head grower experience on a minimum 1000-plant greenhouse or outdoor licensed operation. 5 years, 20 acres, or 5000+ plants preferred.
- You possess a professional structured approach on scale cultivation. Our organic operation aims to achieve that same quality on an exponential 30,000+ plant scale this year.
- As can be expected from any scale cultivation professional, you will be asked detailed questions on genetic selection, propagation, irrigation, pest identification, nutrient deficiencies, amendments, organic methods, soil constitution, timeline execution, and regulatory compliance that can only come from intimate knowledge and time well spent learning on scale cultivation.
- You can immediately relocate to Western Michigan, hit the ground running, and assume leadership responsibility with a high performance, devoted team. Compensation will be upper-tier competitive and tied to performance, and include a real bonus plan, future equity, and comprehensive benefits package.
- 60+ hour work weeks are second nature to us – this is the work culture you will be joining.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
As expected from a cultivation manager, you will be spending most of your time with the plants, from seed to harvest. A keen eye for plant ailments will be paramount, be it nutrient deficiency or a fungal or bacterial problem. Pest prevention is also one of your top priorities and you stress the importance of a proactive versus reactive approach, including proper implementation and execution of a rigorous IPM program and biological controls, limited to a restrictive list of regulatory-approved solutions.
As there will be great responsibility placed upon you, we require your consistent dedication in becoming the best at what you do. The ideal candidate is science driven, always learning, self-disciplined, motivated to fix problems without direction, enforces a high ethical standard, financially responsible, inherently understands that drama hurts company morale and that average, comfortable standards result in an uninspiring work environment. You will join a family of passionate, value-driven team members who get up before sunrise, lead by example, and enjoy coming to work because it’s a true match to their personal and career goals.
We strive to make the highest quality products available, and to build our Company, team, and our community. As a member of our leadership team, you will join a third-year team on the front wave of scale growth, and work intimately with us side-by-side in our decision making. Our team is tirelessly devoted, no-nonsense, and empowered with minimal bureaucracy in getting things done – if you believe us to be a good fit, we look forward to hearing from you. Please submit a cover letter and resume.
