Position Description:

We are looking for Drivers and Dispatchers to deliver cannabis products to customers throughout the Redwood City/Peninsula area for Juva Delivery. As a Delivery Driver/Dispatcher, you are the “face” of the Company and are responsible for ensuring each customer receives outstanding care by providing a positive and friendly delivery experience. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our products are delivered to customers safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner. You need to be a hard-working, detail oriented, team-player who thinks clearly in high-pressure situations. Heavy internal and external communications are a meaningful part of this role.

Job Location: Redwood City, CA - Local Candidates Strongly Preferred!

Reports to: General Manager, Delivery

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Driver: Work with dispatch to deliver products to local Bay Area customers in a timely & efficient manner.
• Dispatch: Work to get driver safely and efficiently to customer
• Apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues that will arise upon delivery; help resolve customer concerns with urgency and professionalism.
• Act as a brand ambassador and answer questions from clients.
• Provide the highest level of service and safety at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections at the start of every shift; maintain fleet vehicles by keeping them clean and ensuring they are empty and secure when returned; assist with vehicle maintenance.
• Relate all relevant feedback from customers to management in order to improve process and enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain proper record keeping, such as chain-of-custody documents and payments received from customers.
• Maintain and reconcile a daily cash bank issued by Juva in accordance with cash handling policies; learn and trouble shoot other available payment processing systems used by the Company.
• Must be an adept driver and always abide by all traffic laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Outstanding problem solving and time management abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work evening and weekend shifts.
• Must be able to welcome and learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
• Professional appearance.
• Comfortable with an irregular break schedule.

Education / Experience / Other:

• A valid driver’s license and a spotless driving record.
• High school diploma/GED
• Retail and/or customer service experience.
• Must successfully complete a criminal record check, Live-Scan and FBI Fingerprints required.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Typical Physical Demands:

• Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping and stretching.
• Requires normal range of hearing.
• Requires healthy vision (aided or unaided).
• Requires lifting up to 50 pounds.

We are looking for individuals with cannabis business to business delivery experience that are knowledgeable of cannabis laws, rules and regulations, who pay attention to detail, are efficient, and able to follow instructions. Candidate must be able to complete tasks in timely and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

Employee must be able to work well independently, as well as with others.

Load/pack boxes of product into transport vehicle.

Excellent customer service skills, and can effectively diffuse situations with unhappy customers.

Accurately manage delivery of shipping boxes, documents and collection of payments.

Responsible handling of shipping boxes, recorded data and collected payments.

Time management; employee must manage their time during work efficiently.

Employee must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can help maintain quality standards.

Employee must show up on time for work every day ready to work.

Employee must exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by the company and the state while processing marijuana.

Continuously improve through feedback.

Safe driver with clean DMV record.

Constant awareness of surrounding environment for personal and business safety.

Willingness to drive for long periods of time.

Willingness to drive changing routes.

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic understanding of Marijuana laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws is appreciated and commendable.

Advanced knowledge of product transportation along with geographic familiarity.

Skill in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed.

Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work well with all members of their staff and the company, as well as with their direct supervisor.

Ability to listen well and communicate effectively various audiences and clients, especially with the direct supervisors and other co-workers.

Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately while not overstepping chain of command

Delivery: 2 years (Preferred) Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred) Cannabis: 2 years (Preferred)

This job requires driving for long periods of time, and working with your hands while lifting sometimes heavy packaging.
