Overview:
- This position provides complex support for compliance efforts through analysis, reporting, and risk identification for the Bank’s AML Compliance Customer Due Diligence program (CDD/EDD) specializing in Cannabis Related Businesses (CRB) and Special Due Diligence reviews. Leads the investigation and resolution of discrepancies or suspicious activity identified in transactions, loans, or other business activities. Maintains an expert knowledge of Bank operations, systems, and regulations in order to identify risks. Recommends and implements process or system enhancements that improve internal controls. Reports on analysis results and operational performance to assist management with strategic enhancements. Facilitates the security and integrity of Bank activities by ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and standards. Provides a leadership role for less experienced analysts in the work group and leads special projects.
- Business Support - Provides leadership and oversight of daily workload for the work group. Serves as first resource and point of escalation for regulatory exams, audits, risk assessments, and other related projects. Identifies and recommends process improvements. May perform system testing or maintenance.
- Compliance Review - Leads the research and investigation of unusual activity or flagged documentation, processes, and transactions through initial and ongoing customer due diligence reviews for Cannabis Related Businesses and Special Due Diligence Reviews. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Resolves issues, clears exceptions, or escalates as appropriate.
- Data Analysis - Sources, validates, and interprets data. Analyzes data for discrepancies and risks, effectively communicates analysis output. May assist with larger data management efforts.
- Compliance Expertise - Maintains knowledge of AML and CRB laws, regulations, procedures, and policies that affect the assigned business area through ongoing research and industry involvement. Acts as a resource to less experienced associates, providing training and expertise for complex issues. May participate in industry events, form partnerships with other professionals, or seek additional training to remain current on evolving issues. May update policies and procedures as appropriate.
- Documentation - Compiles all relevant business, process, or user information prior to compliance reviews. Ensures the accuracy, compliance, and completeness of required documentation. Maintains and updates files for the business unit. Produces reports for management on risks, trends, exceptions, and areas of improvement.
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Analytics, Financial Compliance/Regulatory environment OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Analytics, Financial Compliance/Regulatory environment focusing on AML compliance.
Professional Anti-Money Laundering Certification preferred.

What You Will Be Doing:
Docklight is seeking a motivated, dynamic and team-oriented compliance professional to join a growing legal & compliance team supporting a global business. The Senior Compliance Analyst position will help develop and implement first-in-class programs for Regulatory Compliance and QA/QC that ensure Docklight products meet the highest quality standards and consumer demand. This position will be based in our Seattle office, and will report to the Director of Regulatory Compliance. Candidates must have excellent business judgment and the ability to work both independently, as well as collaboratively, in a collegial, fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Curate and maintain organized documentation for product master records and batch records, specifications, and sampling results.
- Perform site inspections and audits at active or potential contract manufacturers and ingredient providers.
- Assist in development of internal processes and program materials supporting Regulatory Compliance, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance practices.
- Review unique state requirements for sale of cannabis-derived products and assist in development and implementation of systems to support state-by-state compliance.
- Complete packaging, label, and claims reviews/approvals for FDA, FTC and USDA regulated products.
- Clearly and efficiently analyze issues and communicate options in the face of ambiguity.
- Prepare and deliver relevant training to internal clients.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of regulatory compliance or similar experience.
- 3-5 years of auditing and/or leading continuous improvement of internal compliance programs and supplier, contract manufacturer and vendor quality assurance systems.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
- Excellent business judgment and the ability to work both independently, as well as collaboratively, in a collegial, fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to digest new information quickly and react positively to new and challenging opportunities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal peers and outside parties.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Must be able to relocate to the Greater Seattle, WA area.
