Responsibilities:
Sample Preparation Technician will work closely with lab chemist to conduct sample preparation and some simple testing. Training is available.
Essential Job Duties Include:
- Prepare and analyze samples from various cultivators, processors, and dispensaries.
- Follow quality control and assurance procedures in compliance with ISO regulations.
- Promote a positive and safe work environment through understanding of safety (OSHA) regulations, practices, and procedures, including but not limited to biological and chemical hazards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- B.S. in Chemistry, Environmental Science and Engineering or STEM related fields.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, self-motivated with strong organizational and teamwork skills; and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Know how to speak in Mandarin is plus.
Special Requirements:
- Candidate must maintain confidentiality and take reasonable precautions to keep lab and client data confidential.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend at the waist, squat.
- Ability to work with hands, see and hear.

The Laboratory Technician I position is responsible for processing compliance and R&D samples and preparing them for analysis
Laboratory Technician I responsibilities:
- Intaking and processing raw samples
- Sample preparation for analytical runs
- Document work performed in laboratory notes, instrument logbooks, and worksheets
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Maintain assigned laboratory documentation
- Perform calibrations and routine maintenance on scales and micropipettes
- Perform data review
Required Skills and Experience:
- Basic understanding of analytical chemistry and analytical methodologies
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team, self-motivate, adapt, and keep a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
