Company Description: We are a smaller indoor grow operation that is hoping to hit $2m a year in revenue in the next year. We grow a lot of exotic strains and produce wholesale bulk flower and prerolls.
We are located in Aurora, CO. But you can be anywhere in Colorado as long as you can get to us to pick up product and deliver to your accounts! Ultimate flexibility!
Position Summary: We are looking for an outside sales representative to help with the wholesale of our cannabis products to retailers throughout the State of Colorado.
The ideal candidate has a sales mentality. Someone who will go out and "pound the pavement". Visit the 600+ recreational dispensaries in the state if you have to. Or if you can sell enough product to a select few of dispensaries, that's fine too. Ideal candidate is goal driven and self-motivated, energetic, healthy, friendly, easy to get along with, and enjoys a competitive ever-changing marketplace. You may also be required to provide Sales Support to Sales Management and other team members like giving some feedback on what customers are requesting.
A grow can make a lot of product but we need someone to convert our green to cash green.
An ideal candidate would have a current license with the Colorado MED and be able to start immediately. They would have existing relationships with buyers and know marijuana! Be able to speak about our strains in an intelligent way.
Your schedule is not set by us. We don't care when or where you work as long as you get the job done. 9 to 5 is not something we care about. Just be available if your customer needs you and know when and where to go to get those sales!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driving sales revenue and market share by managing a group of cannabis retailers to achieve quota.
- Prospecting new clients, presenting and selling the products we grow and create
- Developing strong relationships with clients and delivering the highest levels of customer service.
- Maintaining records of all account activity. It's not as scary as it sounds. Basically just let us know what you're doing. Who bought what when and for how much.
- Maintaining contact lists for each account.
- Serving as the first line of contact with customers. You're the sales rep and the contact. If they can call or text you to get questions answered. You don't have to be "on call 24/7" but if you piss off your accounts, it just makes your job harder and ruins our brand.
- Travel will be required, including client meetings. Must possess ability to work independently and as part of a team and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You've got to go to the dispensaries or to the people that want to buy, get the sale, and deliver the product.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

We just want to know you can do what you say you can do. If this is your first time selling, that's fine too. Just tell us that. Everyone starts somewhere.
Desired Education/Experience:
- 1+ year of cannabis industry sales experience with proven track record of success. You can be a newcomer, it is not a disqualification. We all know you can have a lot of experience in this field without having experience on your resume in this field. We will listen. We just want a knowledgeable person that knows how to sell. Being able to prove that by having past experience is preferred but not required.
- Must have a basic understanding of cannabis products and the Colorado retail market landscape. If you've never seen cannabis before in your life, this probably is the job for you.
- Previous experience in the cannabis industry, specifically in a sales role for a brand. If you've done this before and can point to a product and say "I put that product in that store. That was me." We'd be very impressed.
- Experience in and knowledge of the cannabis industry in Colorado. Every market is different and Colorado is no exception. If you already know how things work and know what Metrc is and know the rules and regs, and have a MED Badge, super brownie points.
- Age 21+. This is an absolute requirement, because it is a legal requirement to get a MED badge.
- Ability to get a MED badge if you don't already have one. NO past felonies or criminal record UNLESS Colorado doesn't care and will give you a badge. We've seen people with a record get a badge after a lengthy investigation. This isn't our requirement, it is Colorado State to get a MED Badge.
- Professional appearance or at least know your audience. You're selling weed, not life insurance. Professional doesn't mean a suit and tie (but can be if that's you).
- Valid driver's license and a car and good driving record. You'll be (hopefully!) taking lots of weed from our cultivation facility to dispensaries. You can't take a city bus. You have to register your route with who is driving, how, what car, etc. So you'll need to be able to do that. If you can't but you are the unicorn salesman that blows everyone else away, we can arrange a delivery company to do the actual transport. But this would be rare.
- Reliable cell phone and computer. We can provide a laptop if you don't have one, or you can use the office computer. If you don't have a cell phone, a sales position is probably not for you.
- Commission-based sales experience candidates preferred. We are looking to pay 10% commission on sales. With our revenue targets if you sold it all, you'd be looking at $200k take home. If you do nothing, you make nothing.
