The Account Manager will work with new and existing accounts to sell cannabis and hemp testing packages from R&D testing (pesticide, potency, heavy metals, etc.) to California Compliance testing to ensure products are safely tested prior to sale. The successful candidate will be eager to learn and grow Canalyte’s market share, understand the unique needs of clients in the Cannabis/CBD/Hemp industries, and work collaboratively with all divisions to meet company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Become the reliable point of contact and trusted partner for all of your client’s testing needs
- Act as a liaison between the lab and customer to review results and address any testing concerns
- Attend shows, conventions and networking events in the cannabis industry to provide company brand presence and establish industry relationships
- Visit and drive to client locations to collect cannabis samples back to the laboratory as well as foster client relations
- Create quotes/invoices for new accounts
Qualifications
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- High level of organization and time management
- Proven customer support and sales background of at least 3 years
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic & a competitive nature
- Completed an Associate’s degree or higher
- Valid Driver’s License and Insurance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
- Drive both short-term and long-term revenue channels.
- Work with management to develop realistic revenue targets and pricing based on market information.

- Assist in processing and replenishing retail merchandise and monitoring stock and participate in inventory counts of retail and cannabis.
- Sales generation ensuring maximum sales and profit goals, loss prevention, inventory management, merchandising.

- Own a vehicle in good operating shape.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One year cannabis industry experience.
- One year sales experience in any industry. Cannabis and/or pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) / Seed to Sale Inventory Management experience required. Some retail experience required.
- Working knowledge of Email, Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
- Familiarity with OK Medical Cannabis Program rules and regulations.
- Must be minimum 21 years old and have a current, valid State of Oklahoma driver license. Must remain compliant with local, state, and federal laws, statutes, and regulations; particularly those related to working in the cannabis industry.
- Must be State of Oklahoma resident for at least 2 years and provide proof of residency.
- Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient computing skills.
