- Addresses assigned correspondence via fax, mail, or electronic messages
- Prepares patient charts for practitioners
- Maintains patient flow and completes practitioner orders within their scope
- Ensures that exam rooms and laboratory are stocked up, prepped, and clean at all times
- Collects, tracks, and handles laboratory specimens
- Maintains and calibrates medical equipment
- Perform vitals, EKG, phlebotomy, and other basic medical procedures as ordered by providers
- Provides clinical administrative support including scheduling patient appointments, checking patients out, and generating referrals as ordered by providers, Attends and participate in clinical department meetings, assists management in addressing quality initiatives including coordinating, reporting and completing goals set by the Quality Management department.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must have certification from a medical assistant program
- Qualified medical assistant must have excellent communication & organizational skills.
