Job purpose:
The plant processing technician is responsible for processing harvested cannabis
plants, as well as maintaining the equipment and workspace in a clean and orderly
manner. The Plant Processing Technician is required to work with a team, but also
must be able to work independently and efficiently. In addition to processing
harvested cannabis plants, the ideal candidate should be able to identify
contamination or conditions which may be impacting the quality of finished
cannabis products.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensures that the processing room, all work surfaces, and equipment have all been
maintained in a sanitary manner before beginning processing duties for the day.
- Efficiently remove fan leaves from freshly harvested cannabis (wet trim)
- Efficiently work processing and trimming dried cannabis and collecting the trim, small
buds, and finished cannabis flowers for storage and further processing and packaging
- Maintain awareness of inventories of harvest and trim support supplies to include but not
limited to gloves, isopropyl alcohol, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, and any other
personal protection or production equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks and
report any needs to the Production Manager
- Reports to their direct supervisor if there appears to be potential bottlenecks or hazards
in harvest and trim production and/or forecasting begin to arise
- Reports for shifts on-time and prepared for work
- Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work well with all members of their
staff and the company, as well as with their direct supervisor
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences, especially with
the direct supervisors and other co-workers
- Ability to learn product tracking and inventory control software and how to weigh, label
and input data into the system
- Ability to perform a monotonous task with great efficiency over 8-hour work periods
without losing quality
- Perform routine cleaning tasks following the completion of shifts, including the safe and
orderly storage of processing equipment
- Flexibility to perform other duties and tasks requested from plant processing manager
- Must be able to work overtime, Weekends and Holidays. Time off must be approved by
supervisor
- Must be able to do all other assigned duties as directed by manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1-2 years cannabis processing experience preferred
- Organized and able to work in a calm and orderly fashion
- Able to work flexible hours, must be able to work with minimal or no supervision
- Honest, trust worthy and dependable
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working
in the industry
Working conditions
Individual must be able to thrive in a fast paced, highly stressful business environment.
Physical requirements
Individual must be able to sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.00/hour.

Job Description
The Plant Processing Technician II is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company’s plant processing operation from harvest to harvest.
Duties and responsibilities:
Creates and maintains department sanitation schedule and documentation using standard procedures
Monitors and assists other Plant Processing Technicians as part of a high performance team to accomplish production goals set forth by management.
Under the guidance of the Cultivation Manager, will be able to manage and adjust the plant processing schedule as needed.
Will interact with ERP systems (NAV) for transacting, moving, consuming materials as needed
Maintains waste logs and controlled inventory with 100% accuracy
Mentors and trains Processing Technicians on standard processes and operating procedures including safety and quality
Performs all tasks set by management in a safe and efficient manner.
Knows, understands and applies fundamental principles of plant processing SOPs and sanitation in the field in a practical manner. Manages daily tasks to SOPs.
Oversee day to day assignments of Plant Processing Technicians with direction from the Cultivation Manager - most tasks and activities are planned and assigned by others.
Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
Embodies the culture, values, and tenets of PharmaCann and full support of our purpose, goal, and key objectives.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
Proven ability in Plant Processing Technician responsibilities, plus proficiency in plant processing tasks: sanitation, transport, wet trimming, tray drying, curing, and equipment set up and breakdown
Must be 21 years old.
Exceptional attention to detail; commitment to product quality, initiative to learn new skills, maintain satisfactory attendance, successful conflict resolution skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment. Understands the fundamental principles of cultivation, integrated pest management, and greenhouse sanitation and applies them in a practical manner.
Demonstrated competency in computer software skills including ERP systems and Google office.
Knowledge and understanding of cannabis regulations for the local market.
Working conditions
Uneven surfaces, stand/sit long periods of time, bending/stopping, hard surfaces, ambient temperature environment. Requires weekend/holidays altering rotation.
Physical requirements
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
