Job Purpose
Responsible for day-to-day operations of cultivation from the vegetation stage through
flowering, harvesting, drying, curing or other cultivation jobs as requested by
supervisors. Executes all cultivation protocols including planting schedules,
propagation, pruning, cleaning, and harvesting tasks. Attention to detail is extremely
important.
Duties and Responsibilities
Propagation, cloning, pruning, and harvesting cannabis, including the general care and
maintenance of plants in all stages
Maintain health in plants, daily walkthrough/check (wilted plants, dry, wet, etc)
Maintain nutrient solution tanks when requested (cleaning, topping off)
Transplanting and moving plants within the cultivation facility
Keeping an eye out for pests and implementing corrective actions and pest management
techniques if necessary
Following clean-room cultivation protocols, including maintaining limited access areas within the
cultivation facility
Regularly assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks
Manage cannabis plants and identify problems or deficiencies
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
Basic knowledge of growing techniques such as germination, cloning, and flowering
Follow Standard Operating Procedures, take direction, have a strong attention to detail, and be
willing to work as a team
Ensure accurate and compliant tracking and reporting of all cannabis materials and waste.
Must be able to work overtime, Weekends and Holidays. Time off must be approved by
supervisor.
Must be able to do all other assigned duties as Grow Lead (s) or supervisor.

Job purpose:
The Retail Operations Assistant Manager will assist the Retail Operations Manager
in overseeing the day-to-day processes in accordance with state regulations, and
standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include inventory management,
reconciling daily sales transactions, employee training, and performance
management. The Retail Operations Assistant Manager will oversee and manage a
dispensary staff of up to 10 employees and will be responsible for ensuring a quality
patient experience by nurturing a highly professional, customer service oriented,
patient centric dispensary environment. The Retail Operations Assistant Manager
will support the execution of revenue targets.
Duties and responsibilities:
? Support the manager of your respective location
? Collaborate with team members from across the company
? Support the execution of revenue targets for the respective location(s)
? Assist in retaining top quality staff for each department; manage talent acquisition and workforce
management plan
? Provide compliant solutions to everyday operational challenges consistent with company policy,
values, vision, mission and State law
? Ensure the team is ready for unannounced DOH inspections
? Lead DOH unannounced inspections in the absence of the manager
? Lead the team with a FULL understanding of State law
? Run reports and pull data from the POS software system
? Understand and communicate data to PA’s as needed
? Ensure all in store and online product menus for the respective location is accurate with inventory
on hand-at all times
? Provide consistent and direct performance feedback to staff including constructive criticism as
needed
? Address staff and patient questions, concerns, conflict, and feedback and relay/communicate to
the appropriate individuals internally when needed/required
? Participate with development trainings hosted by the company
? Complete dispensary operational requirements by organizing and directing Patient Attendant
work flow
? Verify labeling of medications is accurate
? Ensure inventory accuracy during POS transactions for the PA’s on duty
? Ensure the phone is answered within 3 rings if possible, and patients voice messages are returned
as soon as possible
? Ensure the attire of staff is consistent with dress code
? Comply with local, state and federal laws regarding medical cannabis
? Maintain records, removing outdated and damaged cannabis-based medications from the
dispensary inventory
? Coordinate and accepting of product from transport
? Ensure and maintain product integrity and quality at the retail locations (burping, rotating
inventory, maintaining optimal environmental controls-humidity, temp, etc)
? Perform physical inventory counts of merchandise, accessories, and product in accordance with
inventory schedule
? Maintain cannabis and healthcare related knowledge by completing continuing education courses
? Conduct performance reviews to monitor employee productivity, attitudes, and performance
results
? Maintain financial control systems (register tills, cash drop safe)
? Ensure cash handling accuracy of PA’s on duty
? Operate POS and corresponding systems and monitor all transactions
? Adhere to dispensary privacy policies and procedures
? Implement plans to detect, identify and prevent dispensing errors at the POS
? Nurture an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous
improvement, teamwork, and high performance
? Maintain HR policies and programs in support of company initiatives, and direct all compliance
efforts for the company to minimize risk
? Maintain compliance with Hawaii State regulations
? Ensure cleanliness of the dispensary interior and design product displays
? Ensure all product displays are current, product is visually optimal in quality and appearance, and
old(er) displays removed, organized and coordinated to send back to cultivation
? Establish schedules for employees in the absence of a Manager
? Lead daily team meetings, and conduct performance reviews to monitor employee productivity,
attitudes, and performance results
? Ensure that patients have a positive experience
? Help develop standard operating procedures
? Help develop patient outreach programs
? Retail management—maintain complete control of all retail operations including:
o Accessory sales
o Control and secure inventory
o Maintain a product transportation and storage system
o Enforce diversion prevention practices and controls in accordance with Policy &
Procedures
? Help to establish and maintain community relations
Qualifications include:
? High school diploma or equivalent (GED);
? Retail or dispensary management, or other cannabis retail experience desired
? Firm understanding of HRS 329-D and H.A.R. 11-850
? Knowledge of computer & office equipment and programs (inventory systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
? Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
? Valid Driver’s License
? Excellent time-management skills; ability to effectively plan and prioritize

Job purpose
The Director of Retail Operations & Sales is responsible for executing the overall strategy,
management, operations and financial performance of the company’s dispensaries; ensuring
dispensary operations are aligned with Big Island Grown’s vision and mission; implementing
and ensuring the compliance of day-to-day retail processes in accordance with state regulations
and standard operating procedures. The Director of Retail Operations & Sales will manage and
motivate the retail team to provide a world class, industry leading patient experience through
effective coaching and development, performance management; and the design and execution of
strategic sales, service and revenue goals. The position will play a critical role in developing
patient outreach programs, launching targeted campaigns, and liaising with the community.

Job purpose:
The plant processing technician is responsible for processing harvested cannabis
plants, as well as maintaining the equipment and workspace in a clean and orderly
manner. The Plant Processing Technician is required to work with a team, but also
must be able to work independently and efficiently. In addition to processing
harvested cannabis plants, the ideal candidate should be able to identify
contamination or conditions which may be impacting the quality of finished
cannabis products.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensures that the processing room, all work surfaces, and equipment have all been
maintained in a sanitary manner before beginning processing duties for the day.
- Efficiently remove fan leaves from freshly harvested cannabis (wet trim)
- Efficiently work processing and trimming dried cannabis and collecting the trim, small
buds, and finished cannabis flowers for storage and further processing and packaging
- Maintain awareness of inventories of harvest and trim support supplies to include but not
limited to gloves, isopropyl alcohol, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, and any other
personal protection or production equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks and
report any needs to the Production Manager
- Reports to their direct supervisor if there appears to be potential bottlenecks or hazards
in harvest and trim production and/or forecasting begin to arise
- Reports for shifts on-time and prepared for work
- Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work well with all members of their
staff and the company, as well as with their direct supervisor
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences, especially with
the direct supervisors and other co-workers
- Ability to learn product tracking and inventory control software and how to weigh, label
and input data into the system
- Ability to perform a monotonous task with great efficiency over 8-hour work periods
without losing quality
- Perform routine cleaning tasks following the completion of shifts, including the safe and
orderly storage of processing equipment
- Flexibility to perform other duties and tasks requested from plant processing manager
- Must be able to work overtime, Weekends and Holidays. Time off must be approved by
supervisor
- Must be able to do all other assigned duties as directed by manager.

Job purpose
Cultivation maintenance specialist is responsible for aiding the Cultivation
Director in installing, maintaining, and fixing any mechanical, electrical or

- Performs maintenance operations of facilities and properties including the preventive
maintenance, proactive repair, and reactive maintenance issues as they occur, using
skilled trades, e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utilities as assigned by the Cultivation
Director
- Responsible for maintaining the facility management program which includes repair and
maintenance schedules
- Must be able to work with a team
- Responsible for maintaining a log of maintenance activities and repairs
- Maintain awareness of inventories of tools and back-up equipment to accomplish the

facilities manager
- Assist with the delivery and storage of facilities equipment, and ensure that tools and
