Busy local medical cannabis dispensary is looking for individuals to join our exceptional SweetBuds team here in Frederick, MD.
Candidates MUST have medical product and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Must be 21 or older to legally work in a dispensary
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping people
- Accurately use and maintain the Point Of Sale (POS) system
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Have a team player mindset
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times
- Ability to work well with different types of people, including customers and staff
- Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and the presence of the dispensary is well maintained

Reports to: Dispensary Manager
Job Summary
The receptionist role is an integral in creating a warm and welcoming environment upon entering the dispensary, maintaining a steady flow of patients, directing phone calls and adhering to state compliance. The receptionist greets and registers patients, caregivers (collectively referred to as "Patients") and visitors. They will verify patient documentation and qualified registered patient status and register visitors in accordance with regulatory requirements and Trilogy Wellness policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
The Receptionist is the point of contact for the dispensary’s patients, visitors, and vendors. In order to perform efficiently and effectively, the receptionist will need to excel in the following responsibilities:
- Ensure patients expectations are exceeded by directing and communicating patient needs effectively and efficiently
- Maximize patient flow, by organizing, tracking and communicating with other associates and patients to maintain an efficient office
- Input medical records and maintain patient files
- Maintain strict compliance with all Company policies and applicable laws; Maintain records according to State law and company policy
- Obtain and verify documents to ensure eligibility for dispensary services
- Maintain cleanliness and organized appearance of front desk at all times.
- Respond to voicemails and emails
- Discuss the benefits of CBD to both patients and non-patients in the lobby
- Handle incoming phone calls and curbside orders
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience Required
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant customer/patient service setting
Required Knowledge
- Knowledge of computer & equipment operations necessary for running an office/retail center (POS systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superb customer service
- Knowledge of mathematics necessary for inventory and cash management
- Thorough understanding of how to achieve results in a highly compliant environment
- Demonstrated success in a retail, office environment addressing a broad spectrum of customer requirements and preferences.
- Demonstrated ability to establish positive patient rapport and build relationships to establish repeat customer-trends.
- Familiarity with history and varieties of medical cannabis preferred but not required
