Job Summary:
The Grower Payables Processor is an analytical, detail-oriented individual with soft people skills. This positions' responsibilities include performing all processes regarding grower payables and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record seed purchases in conjunction with the Grower Services department
- Record grower and third party purchasing of seed and non-seed inventoried products
- Produce, finalize, post, and print invoices as requested
- Process quarterly seed assessments
- Review & approve seed and other inventory items purchased
- Maintain files, records, and logs relating to the grower payables
- Run weekly reports including cash requirements and trial balances for grower and third- party vendors for management review
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately with figures and to perform detailed work.
- Comfort with technology and strong ability to learn new systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Ability to work overtime hours as necessary.
Preferred:
- Industry experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft NAV software.

General Description: The Grower Services and Procurement Assistant provides significant data entry and assists with the daily activities of the Grower Services and Procurement teams.
Reports to: Grower Services Administrative Manager
Job Summary:
The Grower Services and Procurement Assistant works with the Grower Services Administrative Manager to ensure timely completion of department functions. Tasks include working closely with field staff to generate necessary documents, as well as entering, monitoring, and updating field information in accounting software to ensure accuracy and timely availability. Other duties include running reports, communicating production information with other departments, communicating with grower-partners, warehouses, and seed control agencies. This individual will also work with the Procurement Manager daily to ensure timely completion of assisting functions, which fall within the functions list above.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
路 Grower Services Support
o Receive new seed tests and enter them into accounting software with high level of accuracy.
o Ensure the timely entry of seed tests into appropriate software (DT Search, Document Capture).
o Maintain the Crop Tracking Excel spreadsheet.
o Maintain the Grower Tracking module in accounting software and update as needed.
o Work with the field staff and grower-partners to keep crop information accurate and up to date.
o Communicate with grower-partners, seed conditioners, seed labs, and seed control agencies as necessary.
o Create and maintain reports and spreadsheets as needed.
o Gather information from field staff to initiate new production contracts.
o Use contract creation software to generate production contracts.
o Maintain current files of all contracts related to seed production.
o Approve, investigate, and reconcile seed storage invoices as assigned.
o Review inventory availability, open purchase orders, bag information, and movement between warehouses.
o Supply status reports as needed to management and sales.
o Update Sales and Blender Processors on availability of incoming seed.
o Perform additional duties as needed.
路 Procurement Support
o Maintain daily communication with Procurement Manager.
o Create and update purchase orders in Navision as needed.
o Maintain Procurement spreadsheets as needed.
o Enter tests for purchase orders as needed.
o Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years Data Entry specialization
- Similar experience in increasingly responsible roles.
- Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization skills and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime hours as necessary.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
