General Description: The Grower Payables Processor is a reliable problem solver who can work effectively, efficiently and independently in a deadline-driven, dynamic, team-based environment.

Job Summary:

The Grower Payables Processor is an analytical, detail-oriented individual with soft people skills. This positions' responsibilities include performing all processes regarding grower payables and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Record seed purchases in conjunction with the Grower Services department


• Record grower and third party purchasing of seed and non-seed inventoried products


• Produce, finalize, post, and print invoices as requested


• Process quarterly seed assessments


• Review & approve seed and other inventory items purchased


• Maintain files, records, and logs relating to the grower payables


• Run weekly reports including cash requirements and trial balances for grower and third- party vendors for management review


• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures


• Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in accounting or finance preferred.


• 2+ years of accounting experience in a similar role.


• Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles.


• Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills.


• Strong organizational skills.


• Ability to work accurately with figures and to perform detailed work.


• Comfort with technology and strong ability to learn new systems.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.


• Ability to work overtime hours as necessary.

Preferred:

• Industry experience.


• Familiarity with Microsoft NAV software.
