JOB SUMMARY
The Payroll & Benefits Coordinator administers the activities relating to the company payroll, benefits, and HRIS processing including developing, implementing, and monitoring (e.g., performing internal audit and control procedures to ensure that all wages and taxes are accurate). The individual will be the company’s subject matter expert with all payroll, benefits, and HRIS administration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – ANANDA HEALTH
PAYROLL and HRIS
- Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees, including reviewing and importing hours from the time and attendance system, administering regulatory requirements
- Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency in payroll and employee onboarding, including withholding tax compliance
- Implement HRIS system and improve onboarding process and documentation
- Respond to unemployment claims timely
- Update and maintain employee profiles in the payroll system and one drive
- Administer the time & attendance and leave policies
- Produce ad-hoc payroll and human resource reports on an as-needed basis
- Reconcile quarterly packet from third party provider with general ledger
BENEFITS
- Administer all employee benefit programs including enrollments and terminations
- Facilitates the new employee onboarding process and presents benefits presentations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions
- Help facilitate annual open enrollment period, including preparation and distribution of materials, annual kick-off meeting to communicate updates and changes, processing all updates timely and accurately meeting all required deadlines.
- Plans, conducts, and reports results of audits to ensure all enrollments are accurate and that dependent information is correct for each employee and works closely with US Financial Controller for the quarter and annual audits – payroll, 401k, workers compensation
- Addresses and resolves benefit inquiries timely
- Reviews monthly billings from providers for accuracy and submits to US Financial Controller for approval prior to submission
- Administers and facilitates online all aspects of the benefit and COBRA requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Prefer 5+ years of experience administering payroll, HRIS, and benefits processes
- Proven knowledge of the fundamental tactical payroll processing, benefit administration, compliance
- Knowledge of Paycor Perform, Time and Attendance, HRIS
- Proven emotional intelligence
- Proven ability to retain highly confidential information
- Proven understanding of HR compliance, terminology, payroll and benefits process and procedures, including eligibility and enrollment
- Proven ability to create and manipulate reports in the Paycor system
- Possess strong organization, time management, follow-through, and problem-solving skillsets
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong sense of urgency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of experience.
- Preference for certification in CEBS, CPP, and/or PHR/SHRM-CP
