Airo Brands is seeking a Sr. Director of Product and Business Development. This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer with accountability to sales leadership, Airo President and the CEO
As the head of business development the role will be responsible for three areas of Airo business. As Airo grows rapidly in our existing states and into new markets the Sr. Director of Product and Business Development will be on point to develop and grow new partnerships first in new states and countries and second to develop new lines of business within each state or country Airo operates in. Third, the VP of Product and Business Development will lead bringing on new products into our existing markets.
The Sr. Director of Product and Business Development will be responsible for overall management of all new ventures, products and services. Responsibilities to include communications with the executive staff on programs, management of partner relationships related to the development of new products and services, sourcing and development of cannabis products, consulting with existing partners to develop new lines and day to day management and execution of the programs.
This role will be responsible for bringing new products to market in partnership with research and development, our partners, engineering firms, and our product management groups. Accountability will be for products from business commit following R&D to first customer
The position will have the following responsibilities:
The Sr. Director of Business and Product Development with have the following key deliverables:
- Identifying new partners for production and distribution for new and existing markets.
- Represent and pitch our value proposition; products and services to our potential partners
- Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing partners and customers
- Delivering new products or lines of business into existing or new markets
The success of the Sr. Director of Business Development will be the following:
- Maintaining Airo as the price leader in each state via renegotiation or new sourcing of the highest quality lowest cost cannabis oils
- Enable Airo to enter all legal markets per our plan with best in class producers; scale, quality, cost, professionalism.
- Ensure continuity of supply in each market via second sourcing and multi sourcing of our producers, fill and pack partners and distributors either via contracts and/or relationship.
When it comes to delivering new lines of business, day-to-day duties typically include:
- Researching organizations and individuals online and in person to identify new leads and potential new markets
- Planning and overseeing introduction of new products developed by Airo’s R&D organization or by a partner in the market.

Budtender-South Pueblo
The customer experience begins and ends with the budtender. A budtender is responsible for the initial greeting, assessing the needs of the customer and educating/guiding them on the benefits and differences of the products. Budtenders deliver the company’s retail promise to every customer and patient while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. A successful budtender will be able to elevate company standards, achieve sales goals and meet our customer’s and patent’s expectations.
Essential Duties
Customer and Patient Satisfaction
- Responsible for achieving sales goals by providing best-in-class service that consistently exceeds our customers and patent’s expectations.
- Responsible for maintaining the store in a clean, organized, safe manner with special attention paid to merchandising standards.
- Inspire customer and patient confidence and create loyalty to our brand.
- Educate the customer and patient on the products.
- Make product recommendations.
- Execute selling standards to meet team and individual sales goals and metrics.
- Contribute to a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
Point of Sale System
- Accountable for accurately utilizing the Point of Sale system(s).
- Acknowledge any inventory issues and properly report them to management.
Product Knowledge
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
- Understanding and relaying information of product equivalencies and responsible use of products.
- Knowing your product and how it relates to customer purchasing limits.
Work Environment
- Maintain a positive attitude that creates a positive work environment.
- Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and the presence of the store is well maintained.
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.

Supervision
- Works under the direct supervision of the Store Manager.
- This person does not supervise other employees.
Job Qualifications
Work Experience
- One or more years of work experience in a related industry or work environment preferred.
- Six months to one year of experience in retail required.
- Oral and written communication capabilities.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, Point of Sale software and cash management.
- Fun attitude and strong work ethic.
- Strong attention to detail and must have a team-player mentality.
- Ability to creatively cultivate long- term customer relationships.
- Ability to deal with problems and resolve them in an efficient and professional manner.
- Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Revenue, MED.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree preferred.

- Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
- Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
