- Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking for long durations.
- Self-motivated, committed, and ambitious.
- Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- General tool, hardware, ladder, and building skills. Must be able to use a 12’ extension ladder.
- Ability to communicate through various formats including email and phone.
- At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
- Proper employment documentation.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- If necessary, ability to work 7 days per week and to be flexible with schedule.
- Computer skills and ability to learn new software programs.
- Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, extreme high heat, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables

Duties and Responsibilities
- Interview, manage, train, and direct cultivation staff on standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with and take direction from executive leadership.
- Analyze budgets and test out new procedures to improve quality and gain efficiencies.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Responsible for providing administrative oversight to the Post-Harvest Manager and cultivation leads and cultivation associates.
- Effectively manage time and delegate duties to staff in accordance with approved national standard operating procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations.
- Work in conjunction with the compliance department to ensure the facility is always ‘survey ready’.
- Serve as key contact for regulatory surveys, ensuring proper communication, preparation and follow up.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge and use of state mandated seed to sale system and all corporate IT systems.
- Work with manager to determine key performance indicator benchmarks.
- Compile reports to assess performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure deadlines and cultivation scheduling milestones are met.
- Maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work.
- Enforce and ensure all EPA & MSDS regulations on nutrients and pesticides are being properly utilized by cultivation staff members.
- Expert in integrated pest management practices
- Develop and lead regular staff meetings.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development.
- Provide emergency response off hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the horticulture or agriculture industry with success in a large-scale indoor or greenhouse facility.
- Experience with setting up and expanding large-scale greenhouses or indoor grows.
- Management and leadership experience.
- Ability to write reports, complete checklists, and correspond via email.
- Experience with budgeting and financial planning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage high stress situations and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written media.
- Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to those who are managed in the department.
- Ability to clearly articulate job goals and expectations
