Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets in a safe, sanitary, and efficient condition. This position will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the cultivation and manufacturing site’s business goals and objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities/Task
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on irrigation, cultivation, production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of heat, cooling, electrical, power, gas, or air required for operations).
- Readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
- Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Stay up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Instruct and assist lower-level technicians.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.
- Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low supply levels to Manager.
- Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Follow all required work safe practices. This would include lockout-tagout requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Formal Engineering/Maintenance Training desired.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility, preferably cannabis or food and beverage industry, AND
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with one or more technical experiences: Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC and HVAC. AND
- Minimum of 2 years of experience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment.
- Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time.
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to work in a wet environment with moderate to high noise volume.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
- Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Helping to develop and implement enterprise standards and procedures governing Security Operation Center procedures
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:
- Minimum Associate degree, Technical Certification or Equivalent Experience
- 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to effectively balance workload under multiple demands and conflicting priorities
- Knowledge of security principles, concepts, and best practices
- Experience working with facility access control systems, video surveillance systems, and network video recorders
- Working knowledge of networking principles, concepts, and equipment (Ethernet and RS-232)
- Experience working with electrical schematics and low voltage electric systems
- Ability to develop, implement and oversee the installation, operations, monitoring and repair of security systems and devices
- Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly, problem solve in real-time, and be able to adapt to changing environments
- Prior experience and knowledge of various name brand access control platforms, video management systems and incident management applications/software
- Previous experience terminating and testing network cables, Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6.
- Prior experience installing CCTV, access control, and/or burglary systems is a plus
- Age 21 or over (Required)

ROLE:
The Technical Writer/Document Control Specialist shall be a reliable, skilled employee responsible for a wide variety of activities including but not limited to assisting the Post-Harvest Manager to efficiently achieve the goals set by the company, while maintaining full compliance of cost efficiency. Being reliable, self-motivated, demonstrate excellent analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail is essential.
The Technical writer / Doc ctrl Specialist role is flexible and varies from day to day. Successful Technical writer / Doc ctrl Specialist can identify potential solutions and work with minimal supervision. Additionally, The Technical writer / Doc ctrl Specialist Analyst shall be proactive and proficient with communication, organization, and time management skills, while enforcing a compliant, professional, positive, and free of substance abuse workplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Technical Writer:
- Works hands-on on projects of moderate scope and high/moderate complexity to gather raw text-based inputs from subject-matter experts to prepare easy-to-understand technical user guides/manuals, trainings and methodology documents containing text, data, drawings and charts. Executes according to defined workflow to publish error-free documents.
- Plans/manages/executes technical documentation projects related to specific product offerings. Has decision making authority at the project level. Leads the project as an expert in handling illustrations and XML editors and works with a small to large group of content contributors to deliver specific documentation output.
- Analyzes and interprets data to determine the appropriate syntax, style and grammatical usage in the documentation project. Recommends and implements changes to content for better understanding by target audience.
- Assesses risks and identifies issues and solutions to achieve program goals while maintaining quality standards. Monitors progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate.
Document control:
- Filing & organizing completed records and documentation
- Preparing records for offsite storage
- Assisting with organization of new onsite document storage area
- Responding to requests for document identifiers and ensuring correct naming conventions are used
- Updating tracking spreadsheets
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Communication Skills
- Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish respectfully, professionally, clearly, and concisely, verbally and in written form, with all associates, peers, upper management, and investors
- Must be able to clearly convey any information about all post-harvest procedures
- Must be able to discuss with finance and stakeholders operational cost reductions projects and initiatives.
- Must be able to communicate to the associates about OKRs, SOPs, OSHA, AZDHS standards, Policy and Procedures, and any knowledge.
- Maintains job-related confidentiality
- Attendance at work and punctuality is an essential function of this position

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree plus 3 years of experience.
- Must have a valid AZ state issued ID.
- Hold a valid AZDHS Cultivation Agent Card (company provided and maintained)
- This position will require local training as necessary to acquire the skill set needed to achieve strong understanding of the entire production process
- Always conducts himself/herself in a professional and respectful manner

- Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
- Must be able to work in a farm environment in inclement weather for up to 10 hours.
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally in English at conversation levels with co-workers, other departments, etc. (Moderate noise)
- Bilingual (Spanish and English speaking) highly preferred
