Job Summary:
The Inventory/Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, preparation, and shipping of all product packaging, product accessories, and outbound facility shipments that do not include cannabis while maintaining all storage areas in a safe and orderly fashion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Prepare and schedule non-cannabis outbound shipments using FedEx, UPS, and/or other shipping services. If the outbound shipment is packaging materials, the Supply Procurement Manager should be involved.
- Examine and receive shipments, reject damaged items, and update inventory to reflect changes.
- Send packing slips, rejections, and any discrepancies in receiving shipments to the Supply Procurement Manager for confirmation.
- Communicate with department managers and ensure they are supplied with the needed packaging and labels throughout each day.
- Communicate with department managers to see what products are going to be made and packaged in the upcoming weeks to make sure there are enough supplies. Communicate this information with the Supply Procurement Manager.
- Communicate regularly with the Supply Procurement Manager to ensure supplies do not run out and the needs of the facility for packaging and labeling are met.
- Complete a weekly inventory or as requested by the Supply Procurement Manager.
- If there are separate locations of warehouse storage, ensure stock is rotated to the facility warehouse storage as needed.
- Create sample packaging bundles for the marketing and sales team to send to dispensaries as requested.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is being maintained.
- Ensure that all necessary equipment in the warehouse storage areas is being operated efficiently and safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Previous supervisory experience in a regulated field that adheres to health and safety policies and procedures required.
- Basic math and reasoning skills required.
- Fork truck and electric pallet jack certification required.
- Must be able to identify product varieties by size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Must be able to communicate via email and work with basic computer programs like Office and inventory tracking systems.
- Must be adaptable to a varying work schedule.
- Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent.
- Must be able to comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 75 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
