CULTIVATION & Processing TECHNICIAN
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cultivation Technician is responsible for executing the cultivation and processing activities for the site. The Cultivation Technician will work closely with their Supervisor to maintain the health and participate in the processing and manicuring of the cannabis plants. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the growing and processing areas and will assist in monitoring and documenting plant growth and harvests. This work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as the state and local regulations required to ensure a safe and clean working environment and condition of the cultivation center.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for executing assigned tasks, projects and expectations of the Cultivation Manager
- Plant trimming, room assessments, plant care and clean-up of immature & flowering grow rooms
- Ensuring plant traceability through the Metrc system per quality policies
- Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift, as well as information sharing with the management teams
- Operate and maintain processing equipment with direction from the Cultivation Manager
- Execute drying, curing, flower buck and trim and packaging equipment per schedule
- Performing plant and tag assessments and reporting issues to the cultivation team
- Maintaining compliant conditions and/or correcting non-compliant conditions with a continuous improvement attitude
- Track performance of rooms and present to management the room health and progress, noting any outliners of concerns to collaborate on
- Follow all safety requirements and execute cleaning procedures daily and during changeovers

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

- Plant science courses a plus, but not required
- Laboratory courses a plus, but not required
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in horticulture / indoor horticulture operation experience preferred
- Experience in laboratory setting is preferred

JOB OVERVIEW
The Cultivation Technician provides daily care of medical marijuana plants from planting to harvest, and from harvest to drying and processing the plants for shipment to the processing facility. During the cultivation season, the Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering and providing nutrients. The Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, curing and packaging of the plants. Processing technicians assist in extracting and testing cannabis products, testing and monitoring quality, and delivered packaged finished products. Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the companyâs operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations is essential for this position. Specific cultivation vs. processing responsibilities will be assigned according to skills, experience and company need.
REPORTS TO:
Lead grower or lead processing tech
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Daily care of medical marijuana plants, including watering, pruning and trimming, inspecting the plants.
- Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Lead Grower.
- Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation.
- Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the medical marijuana plants, including hanging, curing and drying the plants.
- Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of grow facility and machinery; dispose of waste according to strict compliance guidelines.
- Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process.
- Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures.
- Carefully follow directions as provided by the Lead Grower or Lead Processor.
- Willingness to continue to learn best practices of medical marijuana cultivation and processing with a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture and greenhouse operating systems/ or good manufacturing practices and extraction technology.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelorâs degree or previous work experience in plant science, horticulture, agriculture or related field or extraction and food or pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred, but not necessary. We will provide comprehensive training.

Employee will work at a greenhouse Facility in Boulder, Colorado. The Cultivation Operations Manager is required to be on site during usual hours of operation.

The Post Processing and Cultivation Technician is an essential member of the team and will assist in all areas of the greenhouse. The Post Processing and Cultivation Technician is responsible for varying duties depending on the needs of the greenhouse
Duties and Responsibilities
- Defoliation and pruning, trellising plants
- Assisting with harvest, hanging plants, and preparing rooms
- Transplanting, mixing soils
- Spot checking for molds, mildews, pests, and viruses

We have full-time, permanent entry-level roles available in the following departments:

Pay: $14.00 per hour (The pay is non-negotiable.)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM
