Overview of Position
The Outreach Manager holds ultimate responsibility for TLC marketing activities and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy in order to drive TLC’s success in the cannabis industry in and beyond.
- Champion the brand strategy and thought-leadership via strategic opportunities and partnerships in collaboration with the GM
- Work closely with product management team to define marketing goals and programs
- Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products in collaboration with the Product Manager
- Oversee implementation of the communication strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR - for both internal and external audiences
- Engages local businesses, business organizations, and community organizations
- Work closely with dispensary team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials, and presentations
- Oversee and act as liaison between product management, customer affairs as well as public relations
- Demonstrate effective management of marketing, advertising, and promotional activities for TLC by collaborating to create, launch, and track performance of new products and campaigns
- Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition, develop consistent content, update website and related web presence such as Weedmap, Leafly and similar
- Manage the use of the company’s customer relationship management software, Sprout, and loyalty program
- Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of marketing projects including: meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, budgeting, campaign analysis, and tracking/monitoring procedures
- Establish and articulate marketing project scope, strategy, and objectives to appropriate employees and key leadership
- Manage creative production of online and offline marketing assets, graphic design, video production, and web development, from the initial concept to finished product and execution
- Understand the products and services offering and approach of key competitors; communicate products and services differentiation to dispensaries and provide input to senior leadership
- Provide assistance on press releases, contributed articles, presentations, events, and conferences
- Develop brief for design, copy, image, and content needs in the development of sales tools, collateral, advertisements, events, websites, and other promotional activities
- Act as a brand steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency in all projects
- Assist with sales reports
- Ensure department compliance with established standard policies and procedures
- Manage external vendors and agency partners as needed
- Monitor and report project expenses and process invoices with accounts payable
- Other projects as assigned by the GM
Qualifications Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Management, or related field
Work Experience Required
- Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles including team management
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original branding opportunities
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing, communications in roles taking on progressive responsibility
- Experience in a startup company preferred
Required Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of web-based project management tools and collaboration technologies
- Familiarity with CRM software as well as social media platforms

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Overview of Position
The General Manager (GM) will participate in the operational execution of the company’s strategy by managing specific hands-on aspects of the company, assisting the Executive Management Team with the successful launch and growth of Turning Leaf Centers in a rapidly changing environment. The GM provides the management necessary to ensure Turning Leaf Centers has the proper operational controls, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure operating efficiency. The GM is responsible for delivering day-to-day results.

Essential Functions or Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Management
- Provides day-to-day leadership and management to Turning Leaf Centers operations that mirrors the mission and values of the company
- In conjunction with the Executive Management Team, sets operational performance benchmarks. Conducts periodic reviews of operational performance; reports to the Executive Management Team and approves or changes directions to achieve planned results and budgets
- Fosters a success-oriented, flexible, and accountable environment
Leadership
- Collaborates with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of TLC as well as to identify the related KPIs that will be used to monitor progress
Compliance
- Oversees operations management and ensures company is compliant with all regulatory and safety requirements
Finance
- In conjunction with the Executive Management Team, develops and executes annual budgets that support operating plans
- Oversees inventory and cash management, daily and weekly, including regular bank deposits; responsible for training retail staff on proper cash handling and inventory management
Operations
- Oversees dispensary operations personally and through the Retail Assistant Manager
- Responsible for inventory control and product procurement
- Delivers a superior level of customer service, both in person and on the phone; coaches retail staff on the commitment to customer service
- Consistently models professionalism; serves as a role model to retail staff during periods of high stress and ambiguity
- Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, related profitability, and business goals and objectives
- Uses strategic, creative thinking skills to develop forward looking plans for an integrated retail experience to include activities and store/e-commerce promotions to be developed in conjunction with the Outreach Manager
- Represents TLC with internal and external business and community partners
- Other duties as assigned by Executive Management Team
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a GM in a fast-paced client-service intensive industry – hospitality and retail background preferred
- 2 years’ experience in marijuana retail management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have integrity and high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential issues
- Exceptional ability to build relationships
- Solid problem solving, business acumen, influence, and negotiation skills
- Superior organizational, project management, time management and multi-tasking skills

- Flexibility and creativity with finding solutions is a must, namely in the context of a start-up environment
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and retail POS systems
Physical Requirements
- Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for the distance of 100 feet
- This position requires occasional extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects
