The primary requirement of an Assistant Manager is to perform all the tasks of a Bud Leader and all the tasks of a Bud Trainer in a superior manner. Requirements:

• A positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to step up as a leader for your team.
• Availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays as requested.
• Adaptability in the face of challenging situations, and the ability to solve complex problems with innovative solutions.
• Supervise the performance of employees and ensure that they are adhering to the customer service standards of the company.
• Assist the General Manager on staff performance, customer feedback, and the condition of the workplace.
• Inspects the property before and after business hours, noting any supply shortages, damages, or faulty equipment and addressing them in a timely manner.
• Provide friendly service to customers, answering any questions and directing them to the appropriate resources as needed.
• Process and observe team members to ensure all OCP compliance is adhered to.
• Ability to manage inventory daily to ensure all products are stocked and displayed appropriately.

MANAGEMENT AND/OR CANNABIS EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY PREFERRED

The Bookkeeping Associate position within The Healing Community MEDCo’s Finance Team offers hands-on cannabis bookkeeping and financial experience, and the benefits of working in a progressive environment.

A successful individual in this role will have the opportunity to be invited to continue beyond the initial probationary period, based on overall performance in the role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Data entry and verification of scanned or uploaded bills into system

• Review accuracy of system data, identifying incorrect data and correcting information prior to payment

• Timely follow-up with clients for missing information

• Assist vendors and clients with questions regarding outstanding bills and payments

• Obtain W-9s for processing 1099s at year end

• Assist with special requests and projects as needed

Payroll:

• Assist with processing fortnightly payrolls in a timely manner

• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements

• Verify payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports

• Perform employee maintenance for new hires, terminations, and wage assignments/garnishments as needed

• Researching taxation and deductions;

• Assist employees with payroll-related questions;

• Provide reports for Finance Team as requested

• Assist with special requests and projects as needed

General Bookkeeping:

• Record daily sales in Quickbooks

• Accurate and timely processing of expenses, bills, and invoices using a cloud-based workflow system for multiple companies

• Data entry and verification of scanned/uploaded expenses into system

• Record bank activity in general ledger

• Monthly prepare bank reconciliations

Data Management:

• Export daily sales data from Point of Sale System

• Enter daily sales into Quickbooks

• Verify accurate of inventory records

• Maintain data hygiene best practices

Qualifications:*

1-2 years of experience with Quickbooks (Expenses, Purchase Orders, Bills, Customer Invoices, and Journal Entries)

• Ability to work independently with expanding duties and responsibilities

• Excellent team working skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management

• Forward-thinker who is open to new ideas

• Desire and interest in trying new technologies and processes

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong communication skills
