About Us:
SeaWeed Co. has an immediate opening for detail oriented and professional Packaging Technician at our extraction lab located in Auburn, Maine. Our extraction lab is focused on locally delivering the best industry-leading extraction services and the highest-quality cannabis products that can be offered.
The Role:
The ideal candidate will have an attention to detail and an eye for quality control across all our product offerings. This individual must be able to multitask, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed. We have a very fast paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and a team player.
Job Description:
The role will assist in maintaining quality control measures to ensure production of high quality products and carries out day-to-day tasks including; prepping; packaging and labeling in accordance with standards set by SeaWeed Co. and State regulations; maintaining glassware; daily lab cleanup; troubleshooting and resolving problems.
- Packaging and labeling of cannabis extracts, flower, cartridges, tinctures, edibles and more to meet daily production schedule for SeaWeed Co.
- Performing quality assurance protocols as designated by SeaWeed Co. procedures.
- Conducting visual inspections to ensure all products meet or exceed SeaWeed Co. specifications.
- Ensuring 100% compliance involving proper weighing, data recording, product tracking and security throughout the entire packaging process.
- Keep a precise count of all packaged product and weight(s) of product used for an accurate end of day reconciliation of packaged inventory and remaining inventory.
- Consistently operates in an efficient manner that also complies with all OCP regulations, SeaWeed Co. SOP's and all applicable required procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring each product is properly labeled in compliance with the ME Regulations.
- Works in a quick and efficient manner and strives to consistently increase productivity.
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the packaging spaces and rooms while performing all duties.
Skill Requirements:
- High attention to detail and organized.
- Perform a range of repetitive tasks with great efficiency over 8-hour work periods without losing quality.
- Ability to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers to help maintain quality standards and production goals.
- Read and follow manuals for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees.
- Impeccable integrity, strong ethics, and sound professional judgment.
Education / Experience
- Must be over 21
- Individual Identification Card- Issued by Office of Cannabis Policy of Maine. Must successfully pass this background check.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Reliable transportation
- Previous experience in cannabis preferred but is not required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly and up to 80 lbs. on occasion

Fulfillment is in the back of house and is responsible for accurately gathering items needed for orders created by the Budtenders. In this position you are responsible for constructing customer orders and ensuring all products that leave the store are from the proper batch, compliantly labeled and properly packaged in the correct exit packaging. Inventory must be tracked and managed precisely.
Budtenders are the frontline in educating our customers. In their role, they will demonstrate a level of knowledge that will provide important information to each customer regarding our strains and products. Being able to connect and build relationships with customers is a must. They must be able to keep clear communication with cashiers and fulfillment as to customer orders, stock and supply, and recommendations. They should keep a general awareness of the guests coming and going.
Budtenders are the link between guests and the products provided and produced by SeaWeed Co. It is important that accurate information and appropriate non medical advice is being given by staff. Budtenders need to fully listen to what a customer is relaying, and then ask questions and draw on their knowledge of our product base, cannabis science, and general industry knowledge to best advise them. Asking questions to give guidance on intended use, dosing, and proper consumption methods are key to successful budtending.
Cashiers are responsible for ensuring compliant sales, precise cash handling, and accurate data entry. Being the last staff member that a guest will encounter they must be able to accurately answer any final questions that may pertain to marijuana products and how to use or consume them. They must be able to discern counterfeit bills, confirming a guests order, as well as keep a general awareness of the guests coming and going. They must have a broad knowledge of all products inside the store to ensure every transaction is accounted for accurately.

- Review sales orders with Product Supervisor and Wholesale Representative on a daily and weekly basis
- Accurately and efficiently pulls physical product from vault space to build orders for delivery
- Ensures accurate and complete product labels are printed and affixed before product goes out for delivery
