PositionHead GrowerJob DescriptionThe Head Grower will work closely with the Consulting Director of Cultivation and other members of the Leadership Team to plan and oversee all technical aspects of greenhouse and indoor Cannabis cultivation facilities located 45 min SE of downtown Tulsa, OK. The Grower will lead and supervise the Cultivation Section Leads (Propagation, Nursery, Flower, IPM, Fertigation). Planning and scheduling are critical aspects of this position, and it is imperative that applicants have a strong ability to think ahead, allowing the Cultivation Department to run smoothly and efficiently.Job Responsibilities
- Scheduling and Resource Allocation: Working with Section Leads, monitor crop status and update Crop Plans accordingly, which include scheduling labor activities and allocation of resources for cultivation processes: propagation, transplanting, pruning, plant moves, canopy management, IPM, fertigation and harvest
- Fertigation Management: Monitor substrate moisture status and leachate/lysimeter data to adjust fertigation according to continuously evolving plant requirements
- Climate Control: Monitor crop health, plant balance and current weather conditions to recommend modiï¬cations to Argus Climate Control Targets and Climate Sequence of Operations
- IPM: Utilize Scouting Reports to designate and coordinate compliant spray and drench applications as well as releases of compatible beneï¬cials
- Perform quarterly reviews for all supervisors and Section Leads
- Serve as a role model and horticultural resource for Cultivation staff
- Responsible for executing long term production plans and delivering on key production metrics and quality indicators as agreed to with Leadership Team
- Take responsibility and initiative in leading a smooth, well planned out and organized professional horticultural facility
- Work closely with Section Leads on planning and coordinating Cultivation Operations
- Develop and balance an understanding of the company’s basic sales demand and the knowledge of how different genetics behave in our facility to forecast the appropriate time to cultivate each variety
- Organize and perform variety trials of prospective cultivars (through both seed selection through phenotyping and asexual introductions), keeping organized and
detailed notes and records of variety trials
- In the midst of production, organize and perform plant density, pruning and other cultural experiments to further optimize cultivation techniques and Crop Plans by variety
- Keep harvest yield and quality projections up to date through weekly reports to the Leadership Team
- Ensure Cultivation Department operates within ï¬nancial and labor budgets
- Liaise with other departments, including accounting, marketing, HR, harvest/processing to ensure Company and Cultivation Department goals and needs are met effectively
- Lead trainings on horticultural techniques and topics
- Continually work to improve:
- Monitoring and Planning Tool
- Product Yield and Quality
- Operational Efficiencies
- Accuracy and Clarity of Cultivation SOP’s
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or related degree preferred (5+ years of experience as Greenhouse Asst. Grower or higher will substitute for formal degree)
- 5+ years commercial greenhouse experience
- 3+ years supervisory experience in production hort/agriculture business
- 3+ years working with greenhouse climate control system (Argus or Priva preferred, Wadsworth, Cherry Creek, Ridder, etc. acceptable)
- Understanding of greenhouse climate management principles
- 2+ years involvement in Greenhouse IPM activities, Qualiï¬ed Applicators License preferred
- Experience with fertilizer injections systems (Dosatron or other)
- Ability to utilize tools like Crop Plans and ERP systems to plan, forecast resource requirements and manage a budget
- Experienced team leader with a positive attitude and vision for the future
- Knowledge of common greenhouse pests and IPM Fundamentals
- Knowledge of basic crop nutrition
- Must be a strong, proactive communicator
- Skilled in use of Excel/Google Sheets required
- Skilled in use of Horticultural ERP System preferred

- Reports to Director of Track & Trace
- Description - The Track & Trace Manager (TTM) will insure full compliance by maintaining facility accuracy within the State of California track and trace system (METRC) and supervising Track & Trace Employees (TTE) for all facilities managed by The Company. A TTM must be able to focus on multiple tasks without getting distracted and be very detail and process oriented. Also, a TTM must be comfortable giving direction and leading teams of TTEs while executing their Track & Trace duties.
- Responsibilities:
- Ultimately, the TTM is responsible for supervising and managing the TTEs at the various facilities managed by the company and communicating and implementing direction from the Executive level to the TTEs.
- The TTM will be accountable for maintaining full compliance by properly directing the TTEs in their compliance related tasks and establishing, implementing, and supervising best practice procedures and workflows that the TTEs will follow.
