Cannabis Handling Lead
Overview
Pot + Pan, Portland’s premier cannabis edible manufacturer, is seeking a full time Cannabis Handling Lead to join its team. The Cannabis Handling Lead is responsible for executing the cannabis preparation for daily and weekly production schedules, which directly affect the company’s ability to meet its sales goals.
About you
You are a smart, proactive, highly organized, and an energetic go-getter. You are a problem solver who is comfortable with a dynamic, fast environment and can enforce company policies with no hesitation. You have extreme attention to detail and love science and numbers.
Responsibilities
On Production Floor
- Prepare all cannabis concentrate for production to meet all daily and weekly deadlines;
- Manage all outgoing testing samples and incoming test results to and from testing labs;
- Manage all potency and lab testing for both AU and MMMP manufacturing arms;
- Liaise with testing labs and lab directors in regards to all edibles and concentrate testing;
- Monitor and report stock levels of concentrate levels for all clients, across both AU + MMMP;
- Prepare and organize all production documents and production tags for each department’s weekly schedule;
- Manage all QC’d product and properly destroy product;
- Management of production product calculators;
- Create Case Pack labels and Metrc tags
- Track all weighed material, finished goods, etc. in internal tracking sheets
- Track all packaging and finished goods inventory
- Execute proper labeling, management, and FIFO of all concentrates in cannabis department;
- Execute proper labeling, management, and co-location of all prepared concentrates awaiting production;
- Execute proper management and filing of all manifests, trip tickets, and material intake forms;
- Follow and build production SOPs within department;
- Follow all company policies and procedures with regard to safety, food safety, quality, sanitation, and basic maintenance of equipment;
- Ensure adherence to colocation SOPs;
- Ensure adherence to all State of Maine and City of Portland rules and regulations;
- Support Sales Team, Production Leads, and Executive Chef in regards to concentrate and product inventory;
- Cross-train in all production departments;
- Shelf life testing management;
Experience, Education and Skills
- Cannabis industry experience of 3+ years;
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs;
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Proficiency in Math & Science, College Degree with major in any STEM preferred.
- Interest in cannabis handling and cannabis concentrates;
- Knowledge of all METRC functions;
- Knowledge of (Electronic Record Keeping) ERP systems;;
- Must be able to bend, stretch in a physically demanding environment;
- Must be able to stand for several hours at a time;
- Must be 21 year of age and pass a criminal background check required by the State of Maine;
- Previous food industry manufacturing experience or kitchen prep, a plus;
- Flexible with work schedules to accommodate business needs;
- Proficient in basic math skills;
- Experience with weights, measures, and scales;
Hours of Operation:
Schedule Monday-7am-3:00pm, Tues-Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-12pm

Executive Administrative Assistant
Overview
Pot + Pan, Portland's premier, cannabis edible manufacturer, is seeking a part-time, Executive Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing support the Executive Team (GM, CEO + HR) by performing a wide range of administrative activities and faciliting an efficient operation of the organization.
Responsibilities
Office/Executive Support
- Serve as a positive ambassador/gatekeeper of the company and first point of contact for all new hires, vendors, contractors and visitors;
- Keep office running smoothly by ensuring a clean, organized and “ready to create things” environment;
- Purchase office and breakroom supplies and maintain a proper stock level;
- Manage and distribute incoming office and production related purchases; initiate returns and/or damages as needed;
- Assist with local errands including luncheons, last minute purchases, label pickups and package returns;
- Examine office workflow and revises processes to improve efficiency (as needed); build out of any expansion of office/mixed-use spaces
- Arrange on + offsite meetings, photoshoots and events, including the preparation of materials, logistics and catering requirements;
- Liaise between Executive Team and outside vendors (packaging companies, photographers, event spaces) to ensure timely execution of projects;
- Arrange travel logistics for company employees as needed;
- Any other duties/tasks assigned by Executive Team
Human Resources
- Post job openings and scan resumes for prospective candidates; forward to respective departments;
- Schedule interviews and establish first point of contact with prospective candidates;
- Assist in the onboarding and offboarding process when needed;
- Coordinate with vendors for annual trainings (DEI, Fire Safety, etc);
- Arrange team events and outings including on/off site meetings and special events including logistics and catering requirements (if applicable)
Experience, Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Office/Business Administration OR related field with equivalent work experience (preferred);
- 1+ year of administrative, office or clerical experience (required);
- 1+ year of onboarding and offboarding experience (required);
- Knowledge of Office Management procedures;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
- Organizational skills and extreme attention to detail (required);
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information;
- Must have experience in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace;
- Ability to type 60 words per minute;
- Manage and track orders through the Enterprise Record Planning (ERP) system, as needed.

Fast growing, cannabis edible manufacturer is seeking a part-time Production Assistant with the potential for full time hours in 2021; must be 21+; Hours vary depending on client workload. Hours of operation are M-F 7a-3p.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prep & production of various products; packaging product per client order, inventory of packaging materials, keeping orders organized, and other tasks assigned by Executive Chef & Production Manager. Attention to detail & the ability to complete multiple orders in a timely manner, cleanliness, positive attitude, and reliable transportation are a must. Kitchen experience preferred.
