GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Laboratory Supervisor is a position that will manage employees in scaling, heavy metals, pesticides, cannabinoid, terpene, microbiology and residual solvent. This role involves overseeing laboratory operations and reporting directly to laboratory management. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

· A laboratory supervisor is available to provide day-to-day supervision of all testing personnel and reporting of test results as well as provide on-site supervision for specific minimally qualified testing personnel when they are performing high complexity testing;
· Proper documentation and compliance of ISO/IEC 17025:2015 standard and Arizona State laws;
· Ensure turnaround times of lab results for customers;
· Perform data review and data analysis utilizing validated analytical methods; will not analyze.
· Assist in training programs relating to analytical instrumentation and data analysis;
· Demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize
· Workflow efficiently in a high throughput environment.
· Maintain a safe, clean, well-organized, and efficient laboratory work environment;
· Assist in maintaining/developing SOPs and documentation required for compliance as needed;
· Assist in maintaining the laboratory for ISO accreditation standards, GLP and future audits;
· Maintain clean and safe work environment by maintaining aseptic methods and protocols; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
· Ability to communicate with scientists, analysts, and other personnel and customers;
· Document results and quality control procedures and enter data in LIMS;
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;
· Follow strict Quality Assurance operations according to state regulations
· Follow GLPs and GMPs.

Minimum QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS in Analytical chemistry or related discipline.
· 5 years’ experience in a laboratory.
· At least 1 year of Lab Management Experience.
· Experience with Agilent equipment
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Proven organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Must be able to formulate and clearly communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing.

- Sample preparation, testing and data acquisition
- Learn, establish and execute SOPs;
- Weighing out samples, performing chemical extraction, dilution of volatile solvents for High-Performance Liquid Chromatography and Gas Chromatography; Ensure test equipment is clean, maintained and in good working order;

The Analytical Chemist will be part of a small, collaborative group, but must also be comfortable working independently.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

· Sample preparation, testing and data acquisition and analysis for Moisture Content, Potency analysis, Terpene analysis, Residual Solvent analysis, Pesticide analysis and Microbiology analyses, as well as additional tests as needed;
· Learn, establish and execute SOPs;
- Weighing out samples, performing chemical extraction, dilution of volatile solvents for High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Gas Chromatography- Mass Spectrometric analysis, as well as additional testing as needed;Ensure test equipment is clean, maintained and in good working order;
- Maintain a safe, clean and sanitary work area;
- Follow GLPs and GMPs;
- Understand and follow laboratory SOPs prior to implementation;
- Maintain laboratory inventory, equipment lists, and chemicals/reagents;
- Monitor and log lab environmental conditions;
· Work well, professionally, and effectively with fellow co-workers;
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dependable, shows up on time and when scheduled.
- Experience or willingness to work in a lab environment (coursework may be acceptable);
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Proven organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Must be able to formulate and clearly communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing;
- Ability to work both independently with little guidance, and within a collaborative group environment;
- Comfortable working with and handling cannabis products;
