Lab Manager - Cannabis Testing
Medford Oregon
Salary: 40000-110000 per year
MW Labs is a marijuana testing lab located in Medford City. We are a full-service laboratory with extensive expertise in cannabis testing and analysis. We utilize scientific instrumentation for all cannabis and hemp testing and screening including cannabinoid potency, residual solvents, pesticides, water, and terpenes.
Responsibilities:
The Lab manager will be responsible for processing and analyzing marijuana or hemp samples, generating reports, and performing all other related jobs.
Essential Job Duties Include:
· Prepare and analyze samples from various farmers, processors, and wholesalers to meet the rules and regulations governing marijuana testing in the State of Oregon.
· Responsible for operating, troubleshooting instruments
· Prepare chemical solutions for use in processing samples, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.
· Documents results of tests and analyses in an organized and timely manner.
· Interpret data and communicate specimen results with clients, and laboratory staff with complete confidentiality.
· Responsible for testing, calibrating, and performing quality control tests on lab equipment.
· Generate and issue reports
· Perform all Metrc related works.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· B.S. in chemistry science with 24 credit hours in transcript, MS preferred.
· 1-2 yearsChemistry lab experience using a variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation.
· Excellent listening and communication skills, self-motivated with strong organizational and teamwork skills; and strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Must be customer service oriented.
· LC-MS experience preferred, particularly operating Agilent and Thermo Scientific platforms.
Special Requirements:
· Candidate must retain confidentiality and all reasonable precautions to keep clients’ data and other information confidential.
· Valid Driver’s License
· Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
· Able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
· Ability to bend at the waist, squat.
· Ability to work with hands, see and hear.
Conditions of Employment:
· Contingent upon a favorable background check.
· Contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screening.
· Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $41,452.00 - $108,321.00 per year
