We seek an energetic, self-directed, detailed oriented developer of content marketing products within the pharmaceuticals and analytical science fields. You will develop, edit, and deliver technical and science-based reports, articles, videos, digital publications, and other content that aligns with clients’ messaging and goals while being of interest across all industries. Requires the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Must have demonstrated excellent editing and proofreading skills.
Responsibilities:
- Interview subject matter experts and create technical content that meets the needs of both sponsors and readers
- Edit freelancer’s drafts for accuracy, clarity, completeness of content
- Work with clients on approvals, ensuring deadlines are met and client feedback is received and incorporated into revisions
- Ensure conformity to established styles and format guidelines
- Moderate podcasts and webcasts as needed; Participate in video interviews with clients’ subject matter experts
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and 2 to 4 years editorial experience, preferably in analytical science, publishing, or advertising
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Must have superior organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects. Must be able to respond to competing priorities, workflow and client changes in a fast-paced environment, while still meeting due dates.
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook programs)
- Experience with InDesign/InCopy preferred
- Excellent grammar and proofreading skills
- Comfortable interviewing scientists, equipment suppliers, and company executives (phone and video)
- Experience writing or editing in a publishing, public relations, or business setting
- Background or coursework in pharmaceuticals, biology or chemistry is a plus.

The National Account Manager, Cannabis identifies sales opportunities for the Nutritional Outlook and Cannabis Science and Technology brands, print advertising, websites and/or emedia platforms, custom projects, etc.; generates revenue and closes sales to all levels of customers. Builds and maintains customer relationships and records all interactions in Salesforce.com. Distributes market information for current/potential advertisers, contributes to target research efforts and prepares reports as requested.

Responsibilities
- Contact customers, prepare presentations, and close sales opportunities
- Identify and understand customer imperatives, goals and objectives
- Develop lists of new prospects and existing accounts for contact and/or follow-up purposes
- Research customer/client needs and create integrated advertising/marketing solutions that meet their objectives
- Maintain strong industry credibility through visible attendance at trade shows and other product presentations, staying up-to-date on new developments and technologies and communicating this information to both key existing accounts and potential new accounts
- Generate direct sales from cold calling, follow-up calling and face-to-face meetings
- Utilize Salesforce.com for all client contact and scheduling and opportunities for pipeline management
Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)

Cannabis Science and Technology focuses on educating the legal cannabis industry about the science and technology of analytical testing, quality control/assurance, extraction, cultivation, and processing/manufacturing.
We seek an energetic, self-directed, detail-oriented associate editor for Cannabis Science and Technology. You will edit and help produce our print publication, monthly newsletters, news articles, digital publications, video, and other content. Requires the ability to manage multiple projects at once. The editor will also be responsible for editorial website operations for Cannabis Science and Technology, as well as all brand social media activities on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
Must have demonstrated competency in use of editing and proofreading skills to resolve stylistic, grammatical, and format issues of written material.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Web Administration (40%)
- Post all editorial content for website into content management system, ensuring accurate spelling and style.
- Write weekly news stories for website
- Increase web traffic using search engine optimization best practices, as well as optimal keywords.
- Optimizes images via Photoshop for posting.
Editorial Duties (30%)
- Prepares and manages production of two monthly e-newsletters.
- Proofs/edits all material for website.
- Edit/proofread articles for print on an as-needed basis.
- Manage advertorial print pages such as application notes, supplier profiles, and product profiles; work directly with clients on obtaining materials and approvals for press.
- Contributes short articles on an as-needed basis.
- Performs other job duties as required.
- Attend training as needed.
Social Media Management (30%)
- Develops, creates, and schedules monthly calendar of all social media posts for marketing and editorial purposes.
- Maintains Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts for Cannabis Science and Technology and interacts to increase exposure and followers.
- Maintains LinkedIn Group, ensuring timely posting of new materials
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism and/or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent grammar and proofreading abilities
